I predict that they'll suddenly have a miraculous recovery just in time for puck drop - lol

I don’t have inside knowledge but I think Draisital is closer to coming back than McDavid. Thus , if either plays tonight it will be Drais

The various Preview reports have not been helpful
Oilers were shut out 2 games ago and scored 2 the next game so
There is great hope we overcome the Holloway “panic” and play better offensively . I swear the Jets part two players in front of the net, and we kept shooting to them instead of changing the strategy… like shooting behind the net and forcing the Jets players to move their rear ends . We didn’t disrupt anything. Just kept playing to them.
For a team that has been scoring four goals a game how did the coaching staff not get the players to change how they play after the first period getting outshot 8 to 3?

Excellent observation.

They are big and fast, but we didn't make them work hard enough.

I think they are in a little bit worse of a situation than Parayko. Their injuries sound like if they needed them to play today, they could, but they wouldn't be able to get thru the playoffs for a cup run if that happened. Both teams are faced with the same scenario, neither have sealed the deal, but are likely in, these 3 could play, but at what cost? If they played today, they would jeopardize the rest of the season. In the Oilers case, they sit in the same spot as the Blues, but with 2 more games in hand, it would take an even bigger dropping of the ball to not get in. So they have a little more space to rest them at least today and hope for a win against us or a Calgary loss.

I associate that song with the first five minutes of Game 6 of the 2015 playoffs. The 2015 playoffs rank very high on the list of brutalities

The fans all say, they'd be in the playoffs if they put 10 more points behind them.

The fellas it's too rough to feed ya / fellas it's been good to know ya part is the best part of that song

(second best is the way he pronounces "Dee-troy-ut" where they prayed)

heheheh, right on!

That 2015 team was the Division Champ with 109 points. To lose in six in the first round was awful. Allen let in two horrible softies and was yanked for Elliott halfway through. The team tightened up, but Oshie;'s goal with less than a minute left in the second was the only one they would see.

Agreed. Those are perhaps the coolest moments, along with the title of this thread.
What a lyricist and composer old, Gordon was.
The callback to Hiawatha ....poetry about poetry.
Gitche Gumee is the Ojibwe (Chippewa) name for Lake Superior, so.... how fitting was it for Osh to score our lone goal as the Good ship and true of the 2015 Blues went under up in Minnesota?
