Incredible series......He had a great personality for the game.

Very sad news...RIP Greg.

Was he the Monday Night Miracle goalie? Or Wamsley?

He had a consecutive shutout streak with Blues, but I fail to remember the specifics.

Sad news. Great hockey commentator.

My memory is that Wamsley played the entire first round, Millen played the entire second round and Wamsley played the entire third round, including the Monday Night Miracle game. I don't remember why it happened this way.

Rest in peace, Greg.

IIRC, Dan Kelly used to call him Milan.
Uhhhh....no. You do not remember correctly,.....unless it was Lisping Little Danny Kelly, the nepo baby who is best forgotten.

I wasn't aware of Greg's longtime, great success as a broadcaster. I knew him well from his playing days, from the peppy, bouncing Penguins' netminder in that unforgettable double-OT game and 7-game series in '81, and for his six seasons in St. Louis. He was treated horribly in Chicago by Mike (Third Reich) Keenan, who scratched him something like 60 times.

One thing about Millen, he never seemed like he was a professional athlete.. He always gave off the vibe like he was just one those guys that showed up to play goal during a Thursday night beer league game..that was the vibe he gave off to me. I remember those beer league games back in the day and there was always a goalie that would just show up to play for your team. Those goalies were just always happy go lucky…and just wanted to play. You didn’t know them but you could tell they were good people. That is just how I always viewed Millen
