I said the Rams were moving a year before they announced. People said I was crazy. See what happened.
St Louis city has some monster problems that need to be fixed ASAP, or the Cards will follow the Rams right out the door.

Rams wanting to leave was an open secret. La wanting a team was a given. NFL hated not having a team there. Kroenke is a P[ositively] O[bnoxious] S[impleton]. The dome is a P[ositively] O[bnoxious] S[impleton].

Cards aren’t going anywhere. He wants to put more money in bpv

Drive away the fans so it's a soft exit.
They will move out of St Louis in the next 5 years.
I will bet you any amount of money, up to and including, $1 million that you are wrong! The reasons why are too many to list here...

But watch out if DeWitt buys land in Nashville to "develop"
They will say they just couldn't get the fans to come to the ballpark to support the team.
Except that it would be like the Cowboys leaving Dallas.

They're letting Mikolas start because they're too cheap to cut him. Typically, that's been the case with this team and players that bring zero value despite big contracts.
Well it is 18 m you cut. That’s not fodder. Maybe just not start him and relegate him to the long mop up job which there will be many.
I'd rather pay him 18 million to NOT pitch, and pay the 18 mil plus league minimum to see McGreevy who is probably better, and at least has upside, than just pay 18 million to watch Mikolas stink up the joint every five days.

Nashville and Charlotte are vibrant, growing cities…

Stl is just the opposite…..

I’m not predicting they will move…..just that it is naive to believe it’s not a possibility
Tampa & Miami are vibrant, growing cities...

How's their attendance?

It's not a possibility. Not even remotely.

Or the Celtics leaving Boston or the Canadians leaving Montreal. It's simply not going to happen.

There is zero chance the Cardinals will move. Probably not that good of odds. To state it would be naive not to think it possible is trolling.

Either way they are no longer a major league team. Can’t win with only young kids who don’t know how to play baseball. And if you’re not going to pay for quality players they are the new Pirates.

I suspect that I rank near the top when it comes to critics of the Dewitts and Mozeliak the last few years. That said, they are not moving anywhere.

I have no direct knowledge of the inner workings of the organization. IMO, this is a product of sheer arrogance, complete denial of the state of the organization, massively underestimating the fanbase’s willingness to tolerate ongoing mediocrity and gross incompetence of their POBO.

What this is not is trying to tank for the purpose of moving. Ridiculous assertion.

I don’t think they’d move unless Rachel Phelps buys the team?

Too much invested in BPV to bail. That investment would be worthless in view of an empty stadium..unless granted a replacement team to play in same stadium.

But I do think long term austerity measures will be enforced. Even in a dying and decaying city they can count on 2 M fannies in the seats. Win, Lose or Draw, 2M are coming through that door no matter what you feed em.

They pare payroll significantly and pursue a Tampa strategy going forward. Unlike Tampa they have 2 M or the BFIBS in baseball simply happy to have a team.

The Lesser Bill can turn a nice profit with a low payroll and 2M minimum attendance. I see that in our future.
