-Deal Matz
-Deal Burleson

-Deal NADO (if he'll waive the NTC)

-Listen on Donovan but don't just give him away.

Approach Gray and WillyC if teams come calling for them to see if they still want to stay.

Noot & Hererra you build around as well as Winn, Walker and Gorman.
i give Miles one more game. If he gets badly beat again, then I saw find away to put him on the IL for about 6 months. What he's not hurt? Who has Tonya Harding's phone number ?

Hoosier59 wrote: 07 Apr 2025 08:59 am In my opinion, I think the Cardinals look at Nootbaar as their face of the team. He’s a fan favorite and there would be a serious backlash from most of the fans if the Cardinals were to trade him. He would probably bring back the most return, but still not a, cheap, proven ace type pitcher. Right now, the Cardinal outfield, looks ok, with, Noot, Walker, and Scott each playing pretty well. The playing time crunch is at the infield, and catching positions. Gorman, and Herrera now being injured makes that less true, for now, but when they return it will be even worse if Saggese and Pozo produce. Wetherholt, Crooks, and Bernal are position players of the future, so anyone they would displace are the players that could, or should be available in trade.
How much more backlash could there be?

MO is still focused elsewhere. I'd be shocked if he has any moves
beyond money moves in his thoughts at all. The other teams GM would have to
initiate any deal.
If moving him improves the club, why would there be any?
You'd have to ask those who would deal the backlash.

The biggest from myself was probably the Simmons trade.
Even that didn't interfere with me going to games. It's part of the game.
Warm bodies in red hates…

Whoever helps the team win…

Who are you getting in exchange for Noor who improves the club? Another prospect to throw into the over crowded pool? No team is going to give up a 1- 2 pitcher for him. Don't want another Aroz / Libby deal where we "could" be getting a future ace.

The immediate answer for the Cards seems to be addition by subtraction. Give MM one more start, and we pretty much know what we'll see, then is McGreevy time.

I like the way the offense is starting to gel. I'd hate to blow that up, and hope for it to happen again in 2- 3 years.

Teams just aren't going to pat with top of the rotation pitching. As we see, it's just too valuable.

If they're 10 games out, then there is a good chance many of the guys above aren't playing well or are injured. That makes them harder to move. I'll continue screaming from the mountaintops that the Cardinals need to understand what their plan is, and how existing players fit into that plan. Fedde and Helsley do not fit into their plan. They need to then understand when these players' values are high and take action. I'm afraid their value could very well have been at their highest during the offseason. It is almost impossible for Helsley to have as good or better a '25 than he had '24 and Fedde had a career year that was not predicted by anyone and probably not repeatable. IDK. Some of this stuff is really simple, but the Cardinals continuously get in their own way.

A "fake" arm injury would be a way for both he and Mo to save face, like any really cares about their feelings anyway.

Mo thought he found a diamond in the rough in Mikolas.. Mo's ego is such that he was emotionally tied to seeing him succeed here (or fail trying). His two separated by 4 years, good seasons here led to Mo idiotically extending him twice. This is where having Mo as POBO with no voice to check him has damaged us.
