Hutson his rookie year has changed the dynamic of Montreals team making them faster, better transition and into a winning club.
Yes Suzuki and caufield are great, but Hutsons arrival has changed the team.
We may be more of a sum of the parts. But you could argue Holloway, broberg, bolduc changed our team dynamic as far as young guys go.
Fowler could be the glue similar to Hutson.
What ya think?
Who is our Lane Hutson…?

I’m saying Holloway and Bolduc. We went from a boring team with minimal offensive threats, and now all of a sudden we have several dangerous players. Holloway has been great and has gotten better and better during the season, while Bolduc has exploded and totally transformed our powerplay. Hopefully we can add Snuggerud to that list soon, say next season.

In addition to numerous scoring forwards, the Blues have numerous #2, #3, #4, #5, #6, #7 defensemen in the pipeline. Ellis in net looks great in the AHL.
But this question is about #1 defenseman in the pipeline.
You'd have to squint on Jiricek due to his complications to see him as a likely #1, but I wouldn't 100% rule it out yet.
Could the Blues draft Cam Reid out of Kitchener this year and he levels up into that?
He's very good all around. He's 5'11.75", just a smart, competitive player though.

Was thinking the other day if Boldy was a good comp for Dylan? Possibly even better.diehardbluesfan1 wrote: ↑06 Apr 2025 12:54 pm Hutson his rookie year has changed the dynamic of Montreals team making them faster, better transition and into a winning club.

Haven't seen much of Hutson but looks like he's a very good play maker with those assists and of course younger.
Re: Who is our Lane Hutson…?
The Blues at one time hoped Krug and/or Perunovich would do a lot of that. There are different ways to win; the Blues just took care of Cale Makar and the Avs. The Blues vets on D are all good skaters who can carry the puck and get involved in the offense.

It's nice to be able to say "Death by 1000 Cuts" without someone being able to post a laughing emoji and be serious about it.
