The Red Sox will be calling up right-hander Hunter Dobbins from Triple-A Worcester, according to Chris Henrique of the Boston Sports Journal. Dobbins will be Boston’s 27th man for its doubleheader with the Cardinals today, and since he was already added to the 40-man roster last November, no corresponding transactions are required.
If Dobbins gets some action in either of the two games, it will mark the 25-year-old’s Major League debut.

but they usually bring up someone already on the 40-man
Is Munoz on the 40-man?
Re: 27th roster spot for doubleheader
I believe he is. If he can get some consistency going, he could really help the Cardinals bullpen. And maybe even as a spot starting pitcher. He was a good pickup by Mo.82birds wrote: ↑06 Apr 2025 10:48 amhe's been pitching really well.12xu wrote: ↑06 Apr 2025 08:19 amI have not heard, but I hope it is Roddery Munoz.82birds wrote: ↑06 Apr 2025 08:12 am y Mark Polishuk | April 6, 2025 at 7:49am CDT

They may want someone to eat lots of innings if a starter pitches poorly

Re: 27th roster spot for doubleheader
I’m sure we are desperate for a split. I’d bet if game one gets out of hand early, we see a long stretch from a pitcher. Take on for the team.Charles King wrote: ↑06 Apr 2025 11:24 amWattage wrote: ↑06 Apr 2025 11:22 amHe is but gracceffo is getting called i heard.82birds wrote: ↑06 Apr 2025 10:48 amhe's been pitching really well.12xu wrote: ↑06 Apr 2025 08:19 amI have not heard, but I hope it is Roddery Munoz.82birds wrote: ↑06 Apr 2025 08:12 am y Mark Polishuk | April 6, 2025 at 7:49am CDT
