And this is a front office and player development problem. People need to get off Herrera's back. He plays where he's assigned to play.
Easy.
Obvious.
Correct.
Said it after the '23 season.
Said it after the '24 season.
Said it consistently the entire time.
Took some grief for it.
But I was - and remain - completely correct.
Anyone who knows what he is looking at when observing the game could see it.
Problem is, he is yet another result of the TOXIC CULTURE which has defined the last several years of the Super Slo Mo regime.
Many players have been anointed roles - with little to no consideration as to what is best for the team or the player.
Eephus is in that category.
Got my daily laughs in early.

He obviously follows the game and has good observations/opinions.
If it wasn’t for the nauseating self promotion I believe many would engage with him.
We also don’t need his “resume” on a daily basis! LOL

So.....start game 1 at noon tomorrow! Not so difficult to do!Quincy Varnish wrote: ↑05 Apr 2025 15:22 pm Looks like it could keep raining until about 8PM central.
Under ordinary circumstances, they would scrap it and play two tomorrow.
But tomorrow night is the ESPN game… so I’d bet they try and get something in tonight, even if it gets late.

I think they’ll try to get something in tonight. If it rains again, suspend it and try to finish early tomorrow.12xu wrote: ↑05 Apr 2025 16:54 pmSo.....start game 1 at noon tomorrow! I think ESPN would be strongly averse to having the back end of a DH with their rights fees. They want all the stars fresh for their $550mm. They will exhaust every avenue to get it in. If not July, I guess.12xu wrote: ↑05 Apr 2025 16:54 pmSo.....start game 1 at noon tomorrow! Forecast for tomorrow looks like a mess of rain. They ought to get this game in tonight.

Yep. I’m surprised they called it so early, because it looks like they could have started it as a late-ish night game. Plus, there’s more rain in the forecast tomorrow morning.Mort Gage wrote: ↑05 Apr 2025 17:21 pmI had a post typed out but you were right.12xu wrote: ↑05 Apr 2025 16:54 pmSo.....start game 1 at noon tomorrow! They will get 2 in tomorrow
Rain ends up in Boston around 1 Sunday and they will play tomorrow night because of ESPN, unless it’s a steady downpour

Sky's are clearing in Beantown around 1230pm!
Man, this is the BEST time of the year! (Well, so is Oct when Cards are playoff bound)
Blues currently longest winning streak in franchise history, team gearing up for playoffs (plz no mo injuries).
Cards are actually ABOVE .500 and have more runs in 7 games than the team probably had in 15 games last season.
Keep it going!
