There is more over reaction here at CT than a bunch of 9th grade chick's. A player has 4 good games and he should be the cleanup hitter until the end of time. A guy has 4 bad games and he should be hitting 9th, or hitting in Memohis!

lol +1 people complain about oli using a different lineup last season but want changes made based on very small sample sizes after just 7 games

I never thought WC is a 2 hitter. Group either hot or consistent hitters together to score runs…..win games. having a dead spot or K machine at the top of the order doesn’t make sense

If you think a career .351 OBP .810 career ops hitter is an out machine then no one should bat second because they are all
Dead spots and no one should bat second. You don’t have a career .351 OBP .810 ops hitter for as long as him without being consistent it would be insane to shift lineups based on 7 games

But make him something he’s never been……..A GOOD 2 HITTER

Agree w/all who correctly say WillyC is NOT a #2 tablesetter, he's a solid #5 hitter.

And he came into the season w/a Cardinals slash of .263 .367 .468 .835, hardly the line of a hitter who "sucks".

It's been 30 lousy PA's, can those wanting to run him out of town take a short reality break?

It'd be shocking to me if Contreras doesn't start hitting real soon, just a bad start which isn't uncommon for some players every season.
Hopefully bulking up won't hamper him as long as it did Arozarena last year when he arrived in ST pumped up from offseason training.

Obviously I’m not a big WC fan……way too much expected from him in CT land
