Re: Holloway
well although that's not great, at least it isn't "he'll be re-evaluated in 4 weeks"netboy65 wrote: ↑04 Apr 2025 15:34 pmBlues app just pinged me and said he’s currently “week to week”John Cocktoastin wrote: ↑04 Apr 2025 13:42 pm Jeremy Rutherford of The Athletic writes, “If it’s not serious—and it doesn’t appear to be—then the Blues have to be thankful.”
Re: Holloway
Yea "week-to-week" definitely implies more than "day-to-day" but that could mean he'll miss a week or two. But yea, the implication of "week-to-week" is generally longer term so not loving that.netboy65 wrote: ↑04 Apr 2025 15:34 pmBlues app just pinged me and said he’s currently “week to week”John Cocktoastin wrote: ↑04 Apr 2025 13:42 pm Jeremy Rutherford of The Athletic writes, “If it’s not serious—and it doesn’t appear to be—then the Blues have to be thankful.”

I think ya gotta recall DD. Not necessarily to play him immediately, but to get him ready if needed.MiamiLaw wrote: ↑04 Apr 2025 16:06 pmYea "week-to-week" definitely implies more than "day-to-day" but that could mean he'll miss a week or two. edit- upon further review... Alexandrov is more than ppg guy and has played 14 less games and has more goals and more assists, and his plus minus is +14 compared to -11 for DD.

Re: Holloway
Right? I’m not a huge JR fan but all he did was basically respond to what Monty said. Monty said day to day and missing at least the next 2 games. But that was before the Blues knew the results from the dr appt. I would assume the dr appt revealed a slightly worse injury than they were hoping.Tabasco Flowers wrote: ↑04 Apr 2025 16:27 pmJeez. It sucks but it happens. Hopefully he can get healed up quickly. No mention of surgery so likely just strained or sprained something. My guess is it’s something with his hip. Hopefully after a week or two he’ll be all good but those types of strains are hard to pinpoint with a timeline.

Re: Holloway
This team is better with Holloway no doubt. But it's a pretty resilient team. They overcame the loss of Parayko. It's a deep team and more so at the forward position.
Re: Holloway
Per ESPN it sounds like 3-4 weeks. In short they said if 1-2 weeks they would classify as day-to-day anything “3 weeks or more” would be week-to-week. Assuming the first round goes 6-7 games and round 1 starts in 2 weeks, he will be available for start of second round. I have not given up hope though as we will get Parayko back next week and Snuggy could be a slight upgrade verse Texier.
Re: Holloway
If it’s a hip-flexor strain…which was speculated on the broadcast last night…and it’s a mild strain…it could be a 1-3 week recovery. If it’s a more severe strain or tear…that could take 4-6 weeks recovery time. That’s why it would be listed as a week-to-week recovery. Depends on severity and how each particular person’s body heals. Would suck to make this kind of a run and not have him for the playoffs…because…if I had to pick one person who has been the most consistent player this year…and the life-blood or heartbeat of the team…it would be him! Get healthy fast #81.

F this diagnosis. If and when Blues make playoffs, Holloway's playing first game after a loss.
If I'm Monty, that's what I'm saying behind the scenes.

Effing Penguins are cheap shotters. How many guys missed at least a shift last night?
Re: Holloway
Hoping Joseph returns to his line. Put Snuggerud in Holloway's spot and cross your fingers in D zone.

Re: Holloway
Yeah, Joseph's play has been great the past month or so.
Please no Alexandrov. One of this season's bright spots has been not having to watch him. He's one of those guys that just seems to freak out any time he plays in the NHL and all his talent goes right out the window.

Agree on his stints up here but....blackinkbiz wrote: ↑05 Apr 2025 07:54 amYeah, Joseph's play has been great the past month or so.

He has done well since returning to Springfield.
He deserves another look imo and will likely get it at some point.
