I blame the coaches for the game tying goal. By the time that was scored, Faulk had been on the ice for more than 2 minutes and his partner had changed 3 times (First Suter, then Borberg, then Fowler who was on ice for the goal). There was a faceoff less than 30 seconds before the last goal was scored. They should have pulled Faulk off for fresh legs.

100 percent agree with both of you.callitwhatyouwant wrote: ↑04 Apr 2025 10:47 amPeople have chosen Faulk to be the whipping boy, and its completely unjustified. Over the last 20 games he has been playing excellent hockey. In fact, he literally was rated as a top 3 RD last week by the league. But fans like you said suffer from confirmation bias. They see 1 bad play by a player they already have a preconceived notion of being bad, and they extrapolate that it must have happened 10 times. Faulk is playing excellent lately. And the Blues wouldn't be doing what they are doing without him and Leddy. Again Faulk had to go over 25 minutes yesterday. He's 2nd on the team in average minutes for the year. And he's leading the team in minutes since Parayko went down. People need to ease up off him.Army's Mom wrote: ↑04 Apr 2025 10:29 am Faulk is playing much tougher minutes than before, and excelling in them actually. The eye-test suffers from confirmation bias, the advanced stats don't lie. Sure, he's a team worst +/-, but that's because he's facing tougher minutes.
Since the break, he has 13 pts.
On the season, he's 7th leaguewide in fewest GA per 60 minutes at 5v5 at 1.76 (Broberg leads the league).
1 Philip Broberg 1.34
2 Mikey Anderson 1.47
3 Jonas Siegenthaler1.56
4 Drew Doughty 1.68
5 Brayden McNabb 1.71
6 Erik Cernak 1.72
7 Justin Faulk 1.76
8 Vladislav Gavrikov 1.76
9 Chris Tanev 1.82
10 MacKenzie Weegar 1.82
He hasn't been perfect, and he's made some definite mistakes. But Parayko hopefully coming back sooner than later should lessen some of those. IMO, he's gone from one of my favorite whipping boys earlier in the year to holding his own during the streak.
And it's remarkable that even with a preponderance of evidence some still say he's "terrible."

I don't think he's terrible...but I do think he's under performing for what is likely a myriad of reasons, including toi and fatigue.blues2112 wrote: ↑04 Apr 2025 12:43 pm100 percent agree with both of you.callitwhatyouwant wrote: ↑04 Apr 2025 10:47 amPeople have chosen Faulk to be the whipping boy, and its completely unjustified. Plus he has 4 goals on the year at a -6..........something's not right.
