Faulk should not be on the ice to close out games
Dude wilts to the pressure every [fork]ing time. Of course it was his man that he left

Totally agree. Seems like when there’s a wide open forward for the opposing team, Faulk is involved.ZouMiz2424 wrote: ↑03 Apr 2025 21:34 pm Dude wilts to the pressure every [fork]ing time. Of course it was his man that he left

He was left on the ice for over 2 mins. Not sure if it was by accident or not.

He's the only RHD. He's playing lots of minutes because Parayko is out. It's really out of his element to close out games, but it's who they have on the side, especially with late minute faceoffs.
While I'm frustrated, he's doing more than what he usually is asked to do.

He blew the coverage on the Pens first goal by letting the puck carrier go right by him while he stood there. He also got the high sticking penalty which let the Pens back in the game with their PP goal.Hazelwood72 wrote: ↑03 Apr 2025 21:36 pmTotally agree. He's the ONLY dman on the team with a negative +/- rating now at a -6 after a -2 night. He's f'n awful and yet he probably has more apologists on this site than any other player. So get ready, they're coming. lol
Re: Faulk should not be on the ice to close out games
I am not sure the last goal was his fault as the defensemen on that side needed to go out and cover the guy with the puck and be between the two players. If the pass makes it through, he is supposed to get backside help to get the guy closest to the goal which never came.

What the Faulk?!

If it was 2 on 1, The defender is supposed to take away the pass. The shooter is the goalie's responsibility.

I wonder why Hofer didn’t scream at Faulk when he had the man in front of him uncovered while Faulk was watching the puck?

Re: Faulk should not be on the ice to close out games
The forwards were out of position on the tying goal, which forced Faulk to come out further. So I’m not sure I blame for that goal. But Faulk’s biggest issue is he is incompetent at getting the puck out of his own end at 5 on 6. He’s inexplicably parking pucks in the opposing bench. Making tape to tape passes to the opposing forwards or needlessly icing the puck. You see Parayko constantly hoist pucks high in the air and they land flat at the opposing blue line. Faulk has tried that three times recently at 5 on 6 and has two icings and a puck into the bench to show for it. And two GTGs as a result.
