Holloway
Any update on Holloway? Watching the Pittsburgh feed right now and haven't heard any update
Re: Holloway
Upper body injury late in the first. No further updates. Think it's precautionary, but will know more tomorrow.
Re: Holloway
The shot of him when he was leaving the bench…. Didn’t look promising. Bent over , grimacing.
Looks like me when I blew a disc in my back. Hope the guy’s ok. This would be terrible timing to loose him for a while!

Re: Holloway
Yeah I agree. It sure looked like a back but I’m leaning towards lower rib. I haven’t watched it in slow motion but sure looks like the Penguins players pelvis went up at an angle right into his side/lower ribs.
Re: Holloway
Jamie Rivers thought it was a hip flexor which would take about a week or less to heal. If it's a rib, probably a week or two depending how severe.
Looks like we might need Texier in the lineup and/or Dvorsky.

Re: Holloway
They've got plenty of options. Joseph and Texier will likely get the nod before they call up Dvo.

Ahh yes, I forgot about Joseph...and I really like him.dtkblueshockey wrote: ↑03 Apr 2025 22:09 pmThey've got plenty of options. Joseph and Texier will likely get the nod before they call up Dvo.

He brings a good element to the team.
Re: Holloway
I think the team could use 4 lines running again. It’s been experimental with Snuggerrud , and for all who like him, he may have disrupted the game flow. Joseph blocks a lot of shots and I think our penalty kill is suffering. I thought Sunny was gonna get the late season rest and that would open up for Snuggerud to play.
Anyway, the injury to Holloway open the spot up again for Snuggy to take his spot and bring back Joseph (preferred) or Texier for Sunny.
However Monty seems to love Sunny for an alternate face off guy and the power play. We missed Holloway when we had the big power-play at the end of the second period.

Re: Holloway
Saw it live. The way he went into boards it looked either a hyper extended hip or groin.

Re: Holloway
TBH, they can use Joseph. Move Bolduc up a line to fill Holloway’s spot and then insert Joseph. I think he helps their PK and he can’t be any worse than most of the forwards they are using at 5 on 6. The lack of common sense at 5 on 6 is alarming. They are almost always out of position. They seem more worried about scoring into the empty net than keeping it out of their own. Plus Joseph adds some bite, which they are missing recently.somni wrote: ↑03 Apr 2025 22:10 pmAhh yes, I forgot about Joseph...and I really like him.dtkblueshockey wrote: ↑03 Apr 2025 22:09 pmThey've got plenty of options. Re: Holloway
Well, Snuggerud appears to have added some valuable scoring depth. I would put Joseph back in the lineup reconstituting the 3rd line and put Snuggerud in the top-6. If he gets skittish flip him and Bolduc, or give them both some top-6 minutes.2forDiving wrote: ↑03 Apr 2025 23:49 pmTBH, they can use Joseph. The biggest knock on Joseph is he doesn't score. He adds a lot of speed and energy.

Re: Holloway
Yeah, I’m ok with swapping 21 and 63 too. A 71,70,63 line may work well vs the Avs, especially at home where they can get their matchups.DawgDad wrote: ↑04 Apr 2025 00:45 amWell, Snuggerud appears to have added some valuable scoring depth. Re: Holloway
I agree that Joseph is missed. The last two games without him have been among our weakest. It’s rarely a bad idea to add a second Nathan Walker who has elite speed, more size, and top-notch PK skills. Tonight the Pens were 1 for 1 on their PP.Russdv14 wrote: ↑03 Apr 2025 22:19 pm I think the team could use 4 lines running again. With this nutty season, it would not surprise if Joseph scores two goals in his return game.
Re: Holloway
I'm thinking Joseph is getting some time off due to minor injuries. He blocked a hard shot at the end of his last game. If they put Texier in next I would assume that's why.

Re: Holloway
Honestly, if it's something small I think it would be good to get Texier and Joseph some playing time. I would let a few of the guys rest a game here and there. Looks like we are in and the playoffs can be long so it would be a huge benefit to be able to have some fresh guys who are rested play gama here and there when the injuries in the playoffs happen.
