City get shutout 1-0 for the second week in a row.
Four goals in seven games isn’t going to get it done.

City was without Lowen, Reid, Teuchert, and Totland. Team was already struggling to score but being down some key members of the squad made it even more difficult.

So no next man up mentality?
They had those players last week.
What was the excuse last week?

You shouldn't assume that the OP actually watched the game or knows what's going on with the team.todd-parker wrote: ↑30 Mar 2025 21:27 pm City was without Lowen, Reid, Teuchert, and Totland. This is a fair statement, but starting the game as defensive as he did, at home, against a pretty mid table side, was the wrong move. The team was much better when he was forced to ditch that for a more offensive approach. He touted tactical flexibility, I've yet to see it.todd-parker wrote: ↑30 Mar 2025 21:27 pm City was without Lowen, Reid, Teuchert, and Totland. Start Becher and Klauss up top with Hartel underneath is what should have happened.
When Teuchert comes back pair him in the middle with Hartel behind Klauss and Becher.

My bad...for a team that has been mid table. What's your beef?winonsports wrote: ↑01 Apr 2025 09:19 amAustin is in second place in the Westmjg wrote: ↑31 Mar 2025 15:56 pmThis is a fair statement, but starting the game as defensive as he did, at home, against a pretty mid table side, was the wrong move. Still no talk about what City should have done.

Austin was in second place before the weekend games started.mjg wrote: ↑01 Apr 2025 09:57 amMy bad...for a team that has been mid table. What if you looked at a larger sample size (the last two seasons)winonsports wrote: ↑02 Apr 2025 08:58 amAustin was in second place before the weekend games started.mjg wrote: ↑01 Apr 2025 09:57 amMy bad...for a team that has been mid table. Didn’t know I stumbled upon the Austin FC forum.

The Flying V. Ok.
I remember The Flying V from the Mighty Ducks movie.
Not sure how that formation would work in soccer.
Maybe similar to the old WM formation?
5-3-2?
A center forward, two inside forwards, two outside forwards.
Three halfbacks. Two fullbacks?
