A crazy amount of Thursday off days this year

Cardinals have 17 off days on Thursdays this season. Almost every off day seems to hit on a Thursday.

Off days-
Thursday: 17
Monday: 4

Has traditionally been Mondays and Thursdays for off days ..
You travel to next city ( or your next opponent travels to yours to play a couple games for the next series. You don't expect teams to play 7 days a week so if you ran a baseball team , which two days each week would you want games NOT to have games. It sure would not be on weekends.
If you check the nice golf courses in a city, players enjoy a round of golf (during nice weather ) on a lot of Mondays & Thursdays )
For example, I have some buddies in Wisconsin . They play a famous high end course once a year north of Milwaukee about an hour called Whistling Straits. (Green fees and caddie only $400 range ) A couple years ago they played on a Thursday . The Cardinals were scheduled to play the Brewers for a Fri-Sun. weekend series ) The team traveled to Milw. after a home game in St. Louis on Wed. So Thurs. off , and my buddies
ran into 4 Cardinal players who had scheduled a round at Whistlng Straits on THursday (off day ) . Unsure of the foursome but think Waino was playing for Cards back then and was in the group . They recognized him facially. So that happens a lot in MLB when teams go on the road for the players who enjoy golf as relaxation day. It is downplayed and not discussed a lot for if the players doesn't have a good game on the Tues or Fri. after that golf off day , people may say ' No wonder the guy went 0 for 4 , he played 18 holes of golf for 5 hours yesterday in hot weather lol He was tired LOL

I much prefer it this way because I love to watch Springfield and Memphis when the Cardinals have a day off. The minors generally don't play on Mondays.

I was hoping for Wednesday. Thursday is leagues at my golf club of course we get more day light so later rounds are doable.
