Farewell and go Blues
So long from a passionate fan voicing my concerns about the direction of the team. I want for St Louis, what other cities have regarding draft excitement. I want to buy a jersey of a player for my kid that is valid for longer than 3 years.
My stance is that it serves very little purpose to make the playoffs if you can't win it all. It only spoils draft position. I'm not for losing games on purpose, but I don't agree with Army's approach of "staying competitive by trading away draft choices". Others disagreed saying that 2025 is 2019 all over again. Others said that getting in the playoffs is so wonderful, not matter how much we get blown out.
Today we heard from Army himself that he sees no repeat of 2019. Essentially, the Blues will be participating in the playoffs just to say that we did.
I can't take it anymore. I'm so sick of Army.
Further, it is impossible to have any sort of intelligent discussion on here.
Too many people here don't see things the way that I do, so I'll just hang with the people that do elsewhere.
Goodbye and go Blues
I may be back after Army is gone, but I doubt it.
ASOGG checking out.

Adios.
I question your logic doing so but there's nothing wrong with your position or opinion.
Jamming it down the boards throat 10 X's a day 7 day's a week?
You're doing the right thing leaving .....imo you're really not here for discussion as you pretty much just admitted.

Unfortunately, it'll be back when it changes it's sock.
Re: Farewell and go Blues
Mad because they are doing well??? I'm in it for the entertainment value myself. I prefer good hockey over bad hockey. I'm weird like that.
Re: Farewell and go Blues
I'm a hockey fan because I like to root for my team to win games, not win drafts.

It is indeed best for you to just go find another forum site, or team. Do not fool yourself, regardless of what you may choose your moniker to be, as you will still be miserable after Armstrong retires from the Blues. It's a problem that you'll have to work hard to solve. It is very doubtful that there is any other participant on the Blues Talk Forum whom is qualified to help you.
Sincerely.

Re: Farewell and go Blues
At least you didn't lie to us and sob about "for the good of the Board".
There's that.
Otherwise... you behave like an obsessed troll.
Army GM's Team Canada to World championships....
But he suuuuuuuuuucks to you?

Re: Farewell and go Blues
I didn't hear the interview today. Can someone give an accurate paraphrasing of what Army said? Because I highly doubt he said they were planning on being little more than participants in the playoffs (assuming they get there), as the dearly departed OP claims.

You are like a moth to a flame. You will be back. You miss creating drama and being the anti-Blue

I fail to follow the logic. Either you want the team to win the cup or get the first overall pick.

His take has always been completely mindless. He has a fixed idea (a #1 draft pick is the most important thing in the world) and turned it into his mantra. He's simple-minded.

Re: Farewell and go Blues
Really you all were too nice.
Bye and don’t let it hit you on the way out.
Betcha he can’t do it.

Re: Farewell and go Blues
He has no logic. I wish people would just ignore the trolls on here bc all it does if you reply is egg them on and make them keep posting stupid stuff. How can you ever want them to win if they don’t get into the playoffs? It often takes a few years of losing so that players know what it takes to win. Rarely do you have a terrible team like Chicago all of a sudden become great and win a Stanley cup. You have to learn how to win IN the playoffs and you can’t do that until you are IN the playoffs even if there’s not a good chance.Tony Palazzolo wrote: ↑02 Apr 2025 18:21 pm I fail to follow the logic. Also, you think Army would tell a reporter yeah this team is going to win the SC. How much pressure does that put on the players. They have to learn how to win. And right now they are displaying that very well. Get into the playoffs and see what happens. My guess is that this guy was begging the Blues to lose every game in 2019 when they actually started winning in January and eventually won the cup.
The guy has no logic whatsoever so hopefully he stays gone. There are people that just wish for things to be terrible and that’s when they are happiest. They can’t imagine what happiness would be bc they only see the negative. I kinda feel sorry for his kid having to grow up with such negativity. Hopefully he just spews negative on here and in real life is a pleasant person.
And yes, I didn’t follow my own advice and responded. :/
