imyourhuckleberry wrote: 02 Apr 2025 15:22 pm You act like this stuff only happens to the Cardinals due to bad management, roster construction, lineup construction, bullpen usage, or whatever gripe of the day fits your agenda.

In truth, stuff like this happens every single day all over the league. Good pitchers have bad innings. Good hitters hit well. Bad pitchers have good innings. Bad hitters have good games.

It's baseball, man. 162 games. They're not all gonna go smoothly.
Web7 told me a few years ago he's a high level legion ball coach, so he knows way more than us about baseball. :D

In addition, I feel bad for any kid that has to play for a coach that thinks like this guy.

Also, he's completely full of [shirt] about being a coach. No actual coach would be as big of a baby as this guy is.
He's a high level internet forum drama queen. Nothing more.

And everything you said was overly dramatic, especially in light of the end result.

...I nominate him as Head Woodpeckerwood of the Cardinals Boobird society, and those other two guys as VP and Secretary...

There may be a few things that could have been better, in hindsight, but the play of Contreras and the "awful bullpen" did not cost the Cards this game today... LOTS to like what you saw in Busch III today...!

Who was the relief pitcher who blew the lead? Maybe I don't know how to read a box score anymore, but I don't see any ER next to any RP's name.

Through 6 games, the bullpen has given up a grand total of 2 runs outside of stupid free runner extra innings play.

TERRIBLE!!!!

Which team mismanaged the bullpen again?

Cards bullpen:
3ip, 0r, 1h, 1bb, 2k, 37 pitches, 27 strikes.

Angels bullpen:
2ip, 9r, 8er, 8h, 3bb, 3k, 67 pitches, 42 strikes.

In all of your days watching baseball, have you ever seen a team give up the lead, in any way OTHER than pitching or defense? I may be going out on a limb here, but I'm guessing that's how it happens......
In every game ever played??
