Plucky group of Birds

Post by hmoss859 »

After the grand slam by Angels, the boys fought back with a vengeance.

Well done!

they have heart and play hard. In the past, STL was known to have the "Best Fans in Baseball". It is clear that is no longer true.

Several more performances like today, and the fans will respond with ticket purchases.

I hope so. These guys deserve the support.

I'd like to think if we hold our own on this road-trip, and even make the losses tough on the winning team, that people will start to notice.

They are definitely playing with heart. I thought it was a talented group that needed the right coaching, I think they are finally getting it from Brown. Hope it continues and the fans come back with support. I still like my 90-72 prediction 8)

I'm not quite ready to go that far, but I think had myself thinking somewhere between 78-84 and 82-80. I might bump it to 84-78. Which...with a team that's riding some youngsters in some pretty big spots, I'll take that.

Yeah it's an interesting change of energy with the team. That new hitting coach is most definitely making a difference. Pitching has been...well decent for the most part with the gray and the bullpen having some slips. Maybe it's the youth who are fired up and have something to prove. That along with a veteran like arenado having a bounce back season. Happy for Herrera and Walker as well who's quietly been one of the best hitters this year for us. Hopefully the next homestead is more packed because this looked freaking terrible. But the fans who were there made their voices heard when they cheered. This may actually be a fun season. I wanna see us play one of the good teams like dodgers or something and see how they fare.f

I definitely notice a change in the energy and vibe with these guys. They all seem like they WANT to be at the ballpark. And if you're gonna beat them, then the other team's gonna feel it. Past two seasons it's felt like they'd rather be anywhere else.

If this team starts to make more noise, they're going to be easy to fall in love with.

The crowds that have showed up have been lively and loud.

Maybe the wine and cheese crowd that stayed home should give their tickets to fans like the above.

Utopian thought I know.

Anyone who blows preposterous amounts of money to simply spectate the sporting events of an inferior team with no chance of even making the playoffs is known as the "Dumbest fans in baseball."

Cards want butts in the seats, they'll need to earn them back win more wins like today. It's gonna take a bit, though, they swung all equity they'd built up into oblivion over the last 2 seasons.

Yeah the bandwagon fans come out of the woodwork.
Then lose 4 in a row and they stay home again.
Just love those types that call themselves Cardinal fans.

Wait...we're shaming the fans here? As if the organization is owed support and attendance?

What an unfortunate thing to not be able to enjoy a good start to the season and a big win because you are too fixated with how others spend their money…….

What seat were you in today btw?

You equate "best fans" with mindless lemmings?
