I am not sure what your angle is here, not sure any blues fans really hate Kyrou per se. They just hate that he has a lot of giveaways/turnovers when if he just made the easy pass or just held onto the puck and took a hit to get rid of the puck instead of the constant turnovers. Also we have as fans have a right to complain we are in fact basically paying for these guys salaries. He is talented but he also takes one step forward and sometimes two steps back. We would prefer our star player not to make as many mistakes as he does make.

Didn't want him gone, but he definitely didn't earn his money last year so I would have completely understood if he got traded in the off season.

Oh there was hate.

He took tons of kraaaap from tons of posters for tons of time. Every mistake or lacking enlarged. Your basic whipping boy. He was called a coward.

Sure fans have the right to do as they wish......the OP just wants to know where they are on him now.

As impressive as Kyrou has been this year last night I saw something I never thought I would see...Kyrou throwing a big hit. I thought he was going to get out muscled and the guy was going to have a break away and then Kyrou just stood up and dropped the guy. He has truly bought in...granted I don't want him throwing those type of hits all the time but doing it when it is needed is huge

I never wanted him gone but Kyrou did deserve a lot of the criticism he receieved up until this season. He wasn't a complete player.

Crucial, ill-timed turnovers, lazy defense, almost non-existen back checking, those were a big part of his game. Hopefully it was just an age and maturity issue and he now sees the benefits of a team first game.

Man that hit was awesome! lol

Kyrou deserved every single boo he got and more.

He was the “anti-team” player for a long time. If you couldn’t see that… you were not watching.
I don’t give a (bleep) how much skill you have, if you play completely disinterested defense, you are a poison to a team .

Bannister tried being nice to him, but even he got fed up and benched his entitled (donkey) for a period. That took guts, because the SC Winning coach who last disciplined him was fired. They broke up him and Thomas and forced a solid NHL Wing to play Center just for him out of desperation. I will always be grateful to Buchnevich for that, andI will say for the tenth time I don’t know how he kept from throttling him.

The bottom line is… Kyrou grew up and thank the hockey gods that he did.
I used to say that I hated him, but jeebus, he can score two goals on any given shift.

There are few players who have done such a remarkable job of learning to play the 200 foot game for the sake of the team than him, in recent memory.

By the time Monty came along, Kyrou was making good progress, you could see it in fits and starts by the end of last season, and I have no doubt that watching a similarly blessed talent near his own age (Holloway), who played the right goddanged way… was a lovely challenge.Thise two are almost mirrors of each other these days and it is sooooo beautiful.

He has grown up and that is one of the one of the best stories I have had the pleasure to watch unfold in a good long while.

To make the journey from a cancer to a man who takes pride in playing the whole game the right way is pretty epic.
I admire him for it.

I'm pretty sure my jaw hit the ground when he laid that hit. A thing of pure beauty. Don't want him doing that too much but his play this year has been night and day better. He's always had the offensive skills but he's rounding out his game to be more competitive in other areas.

And it is a shame that his extended adolescence was such an awful stain on the history of this franchise.
There are few as awful.

That is why his journey is so epic,
.
He is a helluva teammate these days.

It's definitely been Kyrou's best season. He's playing a more complete game and it's showing in the stats.

When some fans zero in on a player, i.e. their whipping boy, every single little mistake is jumped on and screamed about ad nauseum. Every player, even the league's best, make mistakes. But if they aren't the current whipping boy, they get a pass. I saw tons of "mistakes" last night by both teams, but when Kyrou makes them, folks jump his [shirt] relentlessly.
