Snuggy is most common usage but Snuggles and The Midnight Snuggler are my own go-to variants

Snuggles are important or else you'll end up in a divorski

I'll once again refer to the cooking video where all of the prospects are wearing chef hats with their names on them. The handwriting is noticebly different for each hat, indicating to me that they most likely wrote their own names on the hats.

If that is indeed what actually occurred, then Jimmy Snuggerud wrote the nick name 'Snuggy' on his chef hat. I would assume that's what he prefers. Otherwise, why would he write it?

It also doesn't really matter to me what they call him. My vote is for 'Rude Dawg'

I know how most of the nicknames are made by team mates. They normally just add an “er” or “s” or sometimes a “y” to a shortened version of their name….. but I have never seen him called Snuggy anywhere but on this board…..I was stating that of all the names, “Snuggy” sucks as far as I’m concerned. Sounds like a stuffed bear for kids….

Surprisingly, this thread stayed on topic for the most part. Thanks.
You’ve never seen anyone call him Snuggy except on this board? Yet an hour before that I provided links where his former team called him that. And before that danno posted where Snuggy himself wrote “Snuggy” on his chef hat at Blues prospect camp…

Bubble4427 wrote: 01 Apr 2025 09:27 am I sincerely hope that this topic doesn’t go off the rails quickly, but I have an honest question.
Does anyone really know what Jimmy Snuggerud’s nickname is or are people on this board just assigning him the name “Snuggy”. I know I’m going to be lambasted for saying this….but if that is not his name that he goes by can we please use something else? He’s a hockey player for crying out loud and the name “Snuggy” makes him sound soft….
If that is his real nickname…then that’s fine….but until someone knows for sure, I prefer to call him “Snuggs” or even “Snugger”.

I realize it’s just a personal preference, but the guy has enough pressure on him by the fan base to be great. The fans obviously want to LOVE him……but unless his teammates regularly call him “Snuggy” and he’s fine with it….I suggest we call him something else.

Gee, I wonder how many posts will it take for me to get railed on and this thread to go off the rails….
Thank god someone said it. People calling him Snuggy or even worse Snuggles sound like they are 8 year old children. Makes me wanna throw up in my mouth.

I prefer Snugger

Jimmy Snuggerud's nickname is "Snuggs".
Nickname: Snuggs
Player: Jimmy Snuggerud
Team: St. Louis Blues
Thomas called him Snuggy in the interview like Snuggy Bear from Starsky and Hutch.
