How bad are the hawks…..

So bad that Moore and Rinzel were signed like snuggy was when Minnesota lost.

Their first game vs Utah Rinzel played over 20mins and Moore over 17 in a 5-2 loss.

Yikes. First game and getting that much ice time. Wow

There season is over and Maroon is retiring why play him and why not give the kids a taste of the NHL so they can take it in the offseason to build on it.

Last year's #2 overall is 19 and playing the most minutes of anybody on defense - right now they're an AHL all star team.

Give it time the Hawks are going to be good. If I was the Hawks I would go after one of these guys as soon as the season ends.

eh the Blues are in a whole different scenario than the hawks. 8 strait losing seasons. haven't gotten above 80 points since 18-19. Blues have had 1 losing season in its last 14 seasons. You would have to go back 17 seasons before you found a season that wasn't shortened where the Blues didn't get to 80 points. The Blues have a completely different locker room. One could argue the Hawks have the worst locker room in the league currently. They have a black eye on the franchise from all that went down on the operational side.

Comparing the two is apples and oranges. What the Blues are doing right now came out of left field if you take into context the last 20 games. But If you remove the last 20 games and assume they kept the same pace they were at. They were still a slightly above .500 hockey team that was going to finish 7-10 like most people predicted. Yes they would have been on the outside of the playoffs. But they would have gone over 80 points again and flirted with the low 90s like they did last year when they got to 92. People act like last years team was bad. 92 points gets you in some seasons. It gets you in the east this year. It got you in the east last year. The Blues were a solid team and are better now. Hawks are scuffling and it's getting worse.

They are also objectively awful and the team isn't progressing and actually are worse than they were pre bedard era. Yea they will finish higher in points this year than last, but that's only because they are better at getting the game to overtime and losing. Bedard last season -44, this season -38. Generational talent. Less points than Hollywood. Last year he was scoring points at 90 percent clip. This year he is at 78 percent. I too enjoy seeing the Hawks players flounder.

It do be funny I havent heard from my one Chicago friend who used to text me weekly when he'd score lol. When he did the Michigan against the Blues he thought it was the greatest moment in NHL history....until Zegras did it 4 hours later
