And maybe the division you play in combined with the team's resources means it's almost impossible not to compete for a division title.

His vision was to trade Arenado, Contreras, Gray, Helsley and start over.CrazyForMyRedbirdsInLA wrote: ↑31 Mar 2025 09:21 am Was his vision of doing absolutely nothing in the offseason 10 steps ahead of all of us? Is he operating in 4 dimensions?
But the contracts he made with them, made it impossible.
So he failed his offseason goal and was forced to bring them all back and do nothing.
Ironically, his failure might be our gain.
Could this team be the "Accidental Champion" ?

Mo and Genius never belong in the same sentence.![]()
The credit goes to the players and new hitting coach B. Brown.![]()
That can't be
available employees down to say less than 1% of the population. Then you had some actual
track records of each potential employee. In any other business we would consider finding
20 employees a pretty easy task, especially when rarely needing 20 at one time.
It's not the same world, but when trying to assemble a good staff, I've had these thoughts.

Maybe not.
Re: Maybe Mo's a Genius After All?
Play the Twins @ home the next 159 games and MO Ran is a genius. OR wait till after the April 11-30 games and see how they play then have the discussion.

No offense but who in their right mind thinks 3 games of 162 provides a valid view of what lies ahead for this team?

I think there’s another leg to this. When Gray and Contreras refused to waive their no trade clause and Arenado tied their hands, they changed course. Hang on to Fedde, Helsley and Matz and see if they can stay in the race.
There is no lock for NL Central. Season ticket sales may be way down but Cardinal fans show up when the team is in the race. Attendance gains from staying competitive probably exceed any payroll savings from dumping those 3 contracts.

The team wanted to dump another contract IMO, but it was not
a had to do it thing because of the contracts that did fall.
Dump any single one, not necessarily all
Nado was the only one to take that opportunity. That fit with the Cardinals
desires so the was mutual desires. Still does for both parties or NA would take himself
off the market since he does have control.

Remember when we were told that the Cards don’t like firing people……and will WAIT til years end if they do
So whoever was the dipchit who instituted the failed hitting approach(Girsch, old hitting coach, whoever)was allowed to screw up this offense for a good long while……and our MO just idly by…..watching K after K after K

He was shut down by the three vets he tried to trade and forced to run it back. Curious if the fans stay away during success to show their absolute disgust with being played for the past five years.Post by CrazyForMyRedbirdsInLA » 31 Mar 2025 09:21 am
Was his vision of doing absolutely nothing in the offseason 10 steps ahead of all of us? Is he operating in 4 dimensions?

He is definitely in another dimension. Let’s not overthink this.CrazyForMyRedbirdsInLA wrote: ↑31 Mar 2025 09:21 am Was his vision of doing absolutely nothing in the offseason 10 steps ahead of all of us? Is he operating in 4 dimensions?

It might also be another year where Mo was saved from himself. His 1,2,3 goal was to trade Arenado and failed and he looks pretty good so far so if he has a bounce back season it could be yet another Mo was saved from himself like when heyward took less Money than mo offered to go to the cubs or when price took more money to go to Red Sox or Stanton refused a trade to St. Louis

Actually he didn't, I stated Nado wasn't going anywhere I said it from day one. No reason to leave the Cardinals he has it made.riff raff wrote: ↑31 Mar 2025 09:50 amHe had you tricked for sureAlex Reyes Cy Young wrote: ↑31 Mar 2025 09:26 amHyper focusing on Nado tot he point of rumination only to keep him and not be able to move him had us all tricked.
