Maybe Mo's a Genius After All?
Was his vision of doing absolutely nothing in the offseason 10 steps ahead of all of us? Is he operating in 4 dimensions?

Hyper focusing on Nado tot he point of rumination only to keep him and not be able to move him had us all tricked. When you combine talent plus the right coaching, wonderful things can happen. I said earlier in the offseason that the most impactful move we might make this offseason was a new hitting coach like Brown. And sometimes it’s better to be patient and make no move than to make trades for the sake of making trades and make the wrong move.

After starting out 15-24 last season they played at a 55% clip for 4.5 months. This may be a continuation.

This team may have looked a lot differently if players had not used their no trade clauses.
It basically tied their hands. Now they could have traded Fedde and Helsley and they still may, but given the circumstances a wait and see approach seems like the right thing to do. So far, so good.

Mo and Genius never belong in the same sentence.

The credit goes to the players and new hitting coach B. Brown.
