Yes. Was watching Calgary just gained a point, but thank goodness Edmonton won overtime . 3-2 score.Draisital with the hat trick
That might be crucial down the road

After tonight’s play: Blues 87 points, Calgary 80.
Flames have 3 games in hand. Even if they win all three, they would still be 1 point behind.
It was a great day. Nighty night all.

So 2 goals and an assist for Draisital. That's good for Edmonton he got back from an injury. They are always dangerous esp with both Drais and McDavid. Calgary was very physical beating up on Bouchard. Kadri assisted on both goals and we know he is dangerous.
We sure hope our win streak continues, Caj Spiel and others. I can see Monty resting the hard playing Sundquist again and maybe even a Walker, and/or Joseph. Anyone know why/if Joseph was benched for most of the third period. Rivers mentioned that I think. Did he make a bad play? I think it was this game that Sunny and Joseph laid down their bodies to block a hard shot....thought it was those two flinging their body around. I could see Monty exchanging tough guys for a finesse line of Snuggy, Dvorsky and Neighbors in the Detroit game since their record is mediocre

Detroit is only 1 point behind a bunch of team for the 2nd wild card in the Eastern Conference. The Blues should not be taking anyone lightly. I am fine giving a guy a game off, because the Blues have some depth, but the replacement needs to be ready to play the same style the Blues have been playing.Russdv14 wrote: ↑30 Mar 2025 00:25 am So 2 goals and an assist for Draisital. Point potential:
103 Minnesota
101 St. Louis
100 Calgary
99 Vancouver
Every game is still huge for the Blues, cannot afford a letdown coming out of Colorado. A race like this conjurs up memories of the 1964 Cardinals.

Won't get easier for the Flames. 4 Games in 6 days. Including back to back starting Monday in Denver v. Avs and then to Salt Lake vs. Utah. Then two home games - Thu vs. Ducks and Saturday v. VGK.
Avs will be in a sour mood Monday.

I’m afraid the push to play Dvorsky and Snuggerud may skew (if that is the right word) our quest to finish with the maximum points as shown above). There is still no guarantee to make the playoffs til it’s mathematically so.
On the good side this will give the opportunity to rest the likes of physical battlers like Sunny & Walker but we are sacrificing a bit of defense on those 2 and increasing play for our other regulars who need the rest …and I think we need to win out if possible or at least til we are mathematically in..then tinker with the line up

To Russdv14's question about benching Joseph:
That's two games in a row where Monty has sat parts of the 3rd line in the third period. In Nashville it was Texier and Joseph. These were two tight games, I suspect he's just collapsing down to three lines with greater trust defensively in the 4th line (which has become apparent), but all or part could be injury related. Texier only had 11 shifts in Nashville.
