Continuing to prove he cannot stay healthy, sadly.

Small frame pitchers. Don’t see many. Looks like Mo held on to another prospect too long.

Looks like he’s headed down the Alex Reyes career path. I wanted them to keep him as a starter but at this point they probably need to put him in the bullpen and see if they can salvage him

How much did moving to the BP do for Alex Reyes’ arm health?

Rigors of working in the BP can be much worse on the arm than starting, especially if he’s designated a closer or high-leverage guy.

Moving Hence to the pen would just be cashing out what’s left for immediate benefit… I guess you could call that salvage.

This dude is never going to make it. BP is the best option for him.

Tink should read about the slight CWS southpaw, Billy Pierce, one of the best in the AL during the 50s, despite his “slight frame”.

Pitchers needs stretching and running regimens ,

Did I read that correctly? Right rib cage strain? Why is everyone calling Hence dead? This is something that will heal. The question should be whether effective fitness protocols are established/followed. Is strength training needed that will improve the musculature? Is their sufficient, proper stretching ?

No comparison to the arm problems that plagued Reyes.

Tink has a great name for himself. Sounds fragile, is fragile. Not his fault, but that body ain't built for hurling a small missile.

STL should always do exactly as I advise.
For the past 2 off-seasons I have recommended trading him while he was still over-valued.
Wish I had been wrong.
I wasn't.
Easy.
Obvious.
Correct.

Oh I don’t think it will work. It’s just when he gets back they will have to again slowly ease him back into starting and limiting his innings and they haven’t even been able to build him to 100 innings in a season yet

The good news is that it's a rib cage issue, not an arm/shoulder issue. Still, this is becoming a pattern and, as most here acknowldge, it quite worrisome. With all the modern technlogoly and training know-how we're supposed to have in this enlightened age, why is it that more players are pulling side muscles and straining rib cages? Not enough beer, cigarettes, and hot dogs?

I've been saying for some time now.

Convert him to the closer role when he comes off the IL, he's got D. Williams like stuff and has potential as R. Helsley's replacement after Hells is dealt or walks at seasons end.

He's just not going to hold up as a starter.
