Fan on the field?

Post by fullswing »

FDSN didn’t show it, which I agree with. Anyone know how it went down?

He was cuffed and hooded, and sent to Guantanamo.

Was the fan on the field at the end of the game? I was at the game and a fan walked onto the field after the game ended and stood by the Cardinals dugout. We were right there and saw him do it and a woman security guard tackled him first and then got help from an another security guard. The side of his face, was all scratched up and was slamming into the ground.

Melville. He simply walked on the field to have a conversation where he would impart his vast amounts of knowledge and insight to Cardinal brass. He thought the security guard was enroute to bow to him and get an autograph. Apparently she wasn't capable of recognizing his vast brilliance. However he was the only one that this happened too...naturally.

Forty years ago the sports TV networks agreed to never show the idiots running onto the field so as not to encourage their pursuit for momentary attention at any cost. Yet, they continue to allow fools paying top dollar for the best seats only to wave at their family and friends while on their phones, knowing they're on the stadium's video board and on the TV feed right behind home plate.

I often wish the network would insert their onscreen scoreboard right over the cellphone waver.
