Last day for predictions as clock stops tomorrow at 3:15 first pitch. Currently 82-80 is the boards prediction, updated from 78-84 at first of ST.
We have 16 current updated predictions.

81-81. Final guess.

Huckleberry: Thanks for balancing out the 2-160 prediction that was posted earlier.imyourhuckleberry wrote: ↑24 Mar 2025 21:34 pm 159-3
They lose the first two, sending many jumping off of ledges to their deaths.
Then win a record 158 in a row before splitting the last two.
You don't have to include this in your averages, but you'll regret it if you don't.
Sikeston: I am not changing my prediction. I think it' was 88 or 89 wins and full of March Madness optimism (even though my bracket is likely to be busted on Friday. Go Boilers!)
- Maton signing was a good bolster to the bullpen.
- I like Libby starting.
- Need Gray to come back strong from the flu.
- McGreevy could enter the 6-man by May. Matz stays in the BP
- Contreras is the stud bat (ala Jack Clark).
- Hoping Scott's ST is real. Not convinced, but if so,... Willie McGee in a bottle.
- If Scott sticks in the bigs, the Siani era is coming to an end. (Or maybe Burly or Gorman. Just for the LH ABs.)
- Holding breath on Wynn injuries.
- Looking for some bounce back from Nado
- Let's go Walker and Gorman!
Re: 2025 record prediction
Too many moving parts for a firm prediction, so I'll say between 76 and 86 wins.
Re: 2025 record prediction
I don't think I got in on this earlier.
As of right now, I think they can win
between 75-82 games.
I'll take the average of that number and
round down.
So, 78-84.
Seems about right with the talent level.

Re: 2025 record prediction
Right around .500. 7 games over, max...
Re: 2025 record prediction
Lot depends upon the trade deadline? Do they move Helsley and Fedde? Others ?
Since 82 is the consensus for wins and as a bow to the new savior for the franchise , legalized betting, I take the under.

Purdue is well coached. That alone will make it a gane.RunSup wrote: ↑27 Mar 2025 10:44 amHuckleberry: Thanks for balancing out the 2-160 prediction that was posted earlier.imyourhuckleberry wrote: ↑24 Mar 2025 21:34 pm 159-3

Yeah a lot of questions to answer, which is the actual goal of the season. But hope springs eternal on competing . Now we get to see.

Re: 2025 record prediction
I’m going to say 82 wins. It could be more but Oli is still manager. Too bad we have to wait another year before we see this change!

80-82. At best. Pitching will be average or worse.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑25 Feb 2025 09:23 am Good morning.
We do this every year. I don’t know if anyone ever gets close to their predictions.
So let’s do it again, but let’s play X treme predicting- two opportunities to give predictions.
First record prediction is now, three games into ST. Next vote will be last day of ST. You can then update your first choice.
On that day, I will pull up the thread, and we revisit it. Then wait 162 games to see who’s closest:
Me- cool team, not great, signs of growth , .500 at 81-81.
Next.
Offense average. Defense questionable.

To the board. We stood at 1454 losses from 18 entries. For a 80.7777777 loss record.willie1985 wrote: ↑27 Mar 2025 12:15 pm80-82. At best. Pitching will be average or worse.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑25 Feb 2025 09:23 am Good morning.

This entry, 19, will push it to almost perfect 81-81. Board average prediction.

For comparison, the current Vegas O/U is 76.5.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑27 Mar 2025 12:19 pmTo the board. We stood at 1454 losses from 18 entries.
