Go Islanders! Go Edmonton! Tonight
Hopefully, losses for Vancouver and Dallas tonight.
Re: Go Islanders! Go Edmonton! Tonight
What exactly does dallas losing matter to us? If anything, we have a better chance of bumping oulers out of a playoff spit if they go cold and calgary keeps winning and overtakes oilers for 3rd spot. Mcdavid and draisaitl are out so oilers could realistically lose several even though they have several games in hand on us.
Re: Go Islanders! Go Edmonton! Tonight
No! Root for Dallas! The Oilers can be caught, and that would be absolutely hilarious!

Calgary is starting to worry me. Dallas needs to beat them tomorrow night!

If calgary wins their games in hand, they are ahead of the blues. If calgary passes both the blues and oilers, catching the oilers is very relevant as they sre now a wildcard with calgary passong them.
Its not likely to be relevant but its way more likely to be helpful than the stars losing as blues definutely arent catching stars.
Also if blues are take path of winipeg and win and oilers take path of other division and both advance to conference finals, it would determine home ice advantage.
Re: Go Islanders! Go Edmonton! Tonight
This isn't hard. Either Vancouver or Calgary would then be 3rd and the Blues would have a bunch of points in their then-quest to outpace the other Pacific team and Minnesota/Utah for one of the wild card spots. It takes down one of the teams competing with them.
Besides, what an off-season it would be gloating over fleecing the Oilers.

Kiefer Sherwood showing up again. Just now Isles tie it up at 1!

With their remaining schedule its hard to imagine Calgary not losing 3+ games.Wattage wrote: ↑26 Mar 2025 19:10 pmIf calgary wins their games in hand, they are ahead of the blues. Jack, I couldn't agree more. I think they are going to lose their next three. If they don't, then they deserve a wildcard.TheJackBurton wrote: ↑26 Mar 2025 21:31 pmWith their remaining schedule its hard to imagine Calgary not losing 3+ games.Wattage wrote: ↑26 Mar 2025 19:10 pmIf calgary wins their games in hand, they are ahead of the blues. The upper tier of the Western conference have got to be getting nervous.
The Blues can't lose.
Vancouver won't lose.
And CalGary refuses to lose.

Me too. They are playing some of their best hockey of the season and have a similar SOS left as the Blues. We need to just keep winning!LuvthaBlues wrote: ↑26 Mar 2025 17:40 pm Calgary is starting to worry me. Dallas needs to beat them tomorrow night!

I sense there is a better than average chance this ends up with the Blues and Calgary in the WC slots and Minny and Vancouver dropping out.
