Blues Sign Jecho and Fischer
St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the team has signed forward Adam Jecho and defenseman Lukas Fischer to three-year entry-level contracts.
Jecho, 19, was originally drafted by the Blues in the third round, No. 95 overall, of the 2024 NHL Draft. This season, the Zlin, Czechia, native has dressed in 56 games for the WHL’s Edmonton Oil Kings, posting 53 points (25 goals, 28 assists) and 25 penalty minutes. His 25 goals rank second on Edmonton, while his 53 points share fourth. Jecho also represented Czechia at the 2025 World Junior Championship, recording seven points (two goals, five assists) in seven tournament games.
Overall, Jecho has dressed in 110 career WHL regular-season games, amassing 100 points (48 goals, 52 assists) and 49 penalty minutes.
Fischer, 18, was originally drafted by the Blues in the second round, No. 56 overall, of the 2024 NHL Draft. This season, the Brighton, Michigan, native was named captain of the OHL’s Sarnia Sting and has recorded 37 points (15 goals, 22 assists) and 81 penalty minutes in 51 games. His 15 goals rank fifth in the OHL among defensemen.
Overall, Fischer has dressed in 166 career OHL regular-season games, totaling 81 points (24 goals, 57 assists) and 176 penalty minutes.

Nice. Locking up the prospects. They seem to be progressing nicely. Certainly a few more years to see where they land.

Sweet. Good catch. I am excited about the upgrade in talent next year at Springfield. I am sure Army is trying to sign a few more prospects too.

Re: Blues Sign Jecho and Fischer
Good to get both of these guys signed. A formality but good nonetheless.
Fischer’s Sarnia Sting didn’t make the OHL playoffs so perhaps he’ll be assigned to Springfield to finish out the season. They might not really need him to play (unless there’s more injuries) but it’d be good for him to practice with pros before heading off to his summer training.
Same with Stancl and Mayich. Their teams didn’t make the WHL/OHL playoffs either. Stancl I could see being inserted into the T-birds lineup. Especially with some injuries up front.
Jecho’s team made the playoffs in the Dub but as the 7th seed so they could be done quickly. If so, maybe he could go to Springfield as well.

I guess Fischer has some bite to him with more PIMs than points. We could use a guy with talent AND bite.

This article says Stancl didn’t attend the awards ceremony as he left earlier in the day to join the Blues organization. I can’t find any other info on that though.

I watched a couple dozen of Fischer's games this year and you blasted me as a human being for reporting to Blues fans about Fischer, you complete and total hypocrite.
Yours was the day drunk "Brampton (censored)" post.

I figured he’d be assigned to Springfield pretty much immediately but this basically confirms it.
How’d you come across this random article though, lol?
For those that missed the link it says this:Jakub Stancl won a couple of awards Tuesday night. He was named the team’s most valuable player and scoring leader with 57 points.
Stancl was not at the ceremony Tuesday. He left earlier in the day to begin his professional career in the St. Louis organization.

But do that randomly for most of the prospects from time to time.

Lindstein and Burns have already signed. They are just not in AHL yet.hockey jedi wrote: ↑26 Mar 2025 16:13 pm Who else could be signed before next season?

Cool. Thanks Noted. I thought a few might have been signed, but wasn't sure.
Re: Blues Sign Jecho and Fischer
I don't think Ralph signs until after his sophomore or junior year. He's still very raw.hockey jedi wrote: ↑26 Mar 2025 16:13 pm Who else could be signed before next season?

I wonder if Mayich gets a contract at all.
Re: Blues Sign Jecho and Fischer
I thought Mayich was one of the best players on the ice over the summer, certainly of the defensemen. He looked like he was an AHLer already and fooled me.Boomac wrote: ↑26 Mar 2025 16:56 pmI don't think Ralph signs until after his sophomore or junior year.
