So, I didn't read all of the posts on this thread, but, I'm obviously one of the few that absolutely love the TMA show. It's a special brand of humor that you either get/like, or don't/hate. I can't stand Karraker, personally, and Danny Mac, either, so, that show was never going to do it for me. I like the drive home show, also. Particularly, Stalter and Rivers, and Davis is starting to grow on me. The Marsh kid, not so much. Entertainment is very subjective, especially the comedy aspect. To each their own!
Davis is the worse !!! Talk about hard to listen to plus he knows nothing. All the guy does is Laugh constantly on the show.

I had no particular problems with RK over the years until the last year or so. Very arrogant. Thinks he's funnier than he actually is. Really does think he's Mega Mind. Maybe he was always that way and I didn't notice it in small doses. Nothing got me to change the channel quicker than hearing ask Uncle Randy was coming up.
I used to spend 3-4 hours a day listening to 101 during my windshield time, but I haven’t tuned in at all in 2025. I began tuning out when they brought Smallmon on, and when they started giving Tim McKernan so much airtime, that was the last straw for me.
Sports radio used to be a beacon of entertainment, but now it feels like a competition of wannabe shock jocks and humorless comedians.
Local fame went to RK's head when the Rams left town and he was sort of seen as the sposkman of the fans and the great defender of the NFL in STL. Before that, the fast lane with him, BT and Chris Duncan (RIP) was a really good show. I left STL soon after the Rams also left but had the 101 app..... not for very long before I deleted it.
STL radio has really gone downhill over the past decade.

Checked back in a couple times this week. Talking about opening day? Blues playoff push? Nope. Chicken wings and blind dates. It’s awful.
They have at least two Blues guests a day. Matt Holliday was on Monday, and Brad Thompson is doing a weekly thing now.
No one, and I mean NO ONE, wants four straight hours when they ONLY talk about sports.

Call me "NO ONE" then. I enjoy "ONLY" sports talk on my sports talk radio when at work / during my commute.

Good grief, you really think there’s enough local sports to fill four full hours of content? And then have the next show fill four hours, and so on?

I could talk for 4 hours just about last nights Blues game and their playoff hunt.
The Cards start on Thursday and then there is March Madness and tons of other national sports.
"Good greif" you think it would be hard to have 4 full hours of sports talk content on any given day? You serious? There are literally national broadcasts and podcasts that are 12+ hours every day that talk nothing but sports.

I said “local.” There are plenty of outlets for ridiculous NFL mock drafts. And if you want four hours on a 2 1/2-hour hockey team, well…te salute, Don Corleone.

I was just adding that there is more you can chat about too so it's very obvious that you can have 4+ hours of sports talk, even for STL teams. Would not be hard at all.
