So the Cardinals ownership is now actively promoting bets that lead to taunts and even threats against players. Let's see Cranny defend this.wkycards wrote: ↑25 Mar 2025 14:52 pm An English sports betting company has reached a major sponsorship deal with the St. Louis Cardinals.

Exactly. Gambling (specifically sports betting) should be more accessible, not less.scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑25 Mar 2025 18:47 pmI love it. Nobody is forced to gamble. It still baffles me when folks are shocked/outraged/disgusted when professional sports team owners make moves to increase profits. They will always choose that path, or they will be replaced.desertrat23 wrote: ↑25 Mar 2025 21:49 pmIt would be irresponsible not to.MIDMOBIRDTWO wrote: ↑25 Mar 2025 19:18 pmThe fact that the pro teams spent a fortune on ads to get this passed shows that they are all in on profiteering any way they can.desertrat23 wrote: ↑25 Mar 2025 17:28 pmCan't legislate morality.MIDMOBIRDTWO wrote: ↑25 Mar 2025 17:21 pm I have never bet on sports, I don't approve of betting on sports. Fredo has little interest in what goes on "on the field" other than it's affect on attendance, he's the numbers guy and only cares about the bottom line.
Like ABIII, who hated the Cardinals, hopefully he sells the team when he becomes the boss.

Yeah right!!!
What we heard when they pimped the New Stadium, Last TV Deal, Ballpark Village etc etc etc.
We won't see a nickel of it pumped into player assets.
