That’s all. I’m a fan of Chase Davis and hope we get an OFer to match his ceiling coming through the system soon. If it’s at #5, fine. If it’s in the second or third round, that’s fine too.

Summerhill hasn't/may not come in to the expectant power some pundits are claiming. He hasn't in 3 years of college. That's okay, he apparently can hit, and that's a plus. Cannarella can hit, has his entire career...no power, legit 4 tool player, but still suffering from his Shoulder Surgery in September...he has no double power at the moment, it makes you concerned he may need more procedures. Belyeu has zapped his power this year in favor of contact...what I talked about earlier..."New Metta". Neyens is a swing first, apologize later High School power hitter....you want fast risers....he won't be it. He's likely your Gorman type that will fall to someone in the 20's. Taylor is a 1-2 tool player, there's a lot to like, but he'll likely be drafted 10-15. LaViolette will drop out of the Top 10, maybe Top 15...he's an older version of your Gorman fears....horrible chase rate.Cranny wrote: ↑25 Mar 2025 10:09 amI actually like Taylor, Summerhill, Nevens, Camarillo, and Belyeu. I noticed, LaViolette is slated to go #1 overall in the entire draft in this mock. That's quite a discrepancy from what you posted regarding LaViolette.craviduce wrote: ↑25 Mar 2025 11:02 am more mocks rolling in....I'm loving this week!!!!

and I post all mocks, no matter how I feel or others feel about a player. Each mock has something, even if you can't discern it right away, but they have at least some new knowledge. Sometimes, you have to do the work and look up a player who you've seen on the rise/decline to gain that knowledge. Other times, the author spells it out for you.
you make your own decision, I just try to provide all the current info I can on a player.
2025 Stats exist, and the few flaws that LaViolette had coming into this season have been exasperated X 10: Swing and Miss ; low hit rate. All of that has him trending on most mocks on the way down.

However, as I pointed out, you and this particular draft mock on March 21 have quite a difference of opinion on LaViolette. Being slated as the #1 pick in the entire draft compared to not even in the top 15 is remarkable. IMO.craviduce wrote: ↑25 Mar 2025 11:22 amcontext was given.Shady wrote: ↑25 Mar 2025 11:10 am"LaViolette will drop out of the Top 10, maybe Top 15...he's an older version of your Gorman fears....horrible chase rate". So even though they really need a young power hitting outfielder, preferably a collegiate player, there is no way the Cardinals should take LaViolette if he's there at #5. Is that how you feel? He's still at 1 to six, overall, in some mock drafts I've seen, fairly recently.craviduce wrote: ↑25 Mar 2025 15:07 pmI was able to Finagle a Mock Draft to do my nefarious bidding and rep my dastardly agendaNYCardsFan wrote: ↑25 Mar 2025 14:32 pm"I noticed, LaViolette is slated to go #13 overall in the entire draft in this mock . . ."craviduce wrote: ↑25 Mar 2025 14:26 pm Prep Baseball released their midseason mock last week, and their new Top 200 board this week.
