Blues game on Free TV tonight!

Post by Uncle John »

It's great to have the St. Louis Blues games back on Free TV. :D

Matrix Midwest channel 32 with an indoor antenna aka rabbit ears.

Matrix Midwest channel 6 with Spectrum Cable TV.

It's also supposed to be on Victory + which I think is still free if you prefer to stream.

I think this is an odd move by the Blues when you consider how many people still use an antenna or have Spectrum and then figure in what percentage of those people are interested in hockey. Of course there are some but I would think a lot less than typically watch on FanDuel. I think maybe they added Victory for that reason.

So their theory is that tens of thousands of people will decide to add an antenna or switch to Spectrum because they watch one hockey game? Seems weak. Otherwise what is the point of this?

What does FanDuel think about this since they pay millions of dollars for the rights to televise and now they miss a game that will have a ton of viewers?

They have committed to 10 games. Of the 6 announced all will be on Matrix and 3 of those will be on KMOV.

As stated in a previous thread, regular cable/satellite is going away eventually, so they’re testing streaming options

Does anyone know if this game is blacked out on ESPN plus?

This deal is really a joke.

I'm surprised cable has survived this long because of how expensive it is. Cable TV is on the way out.

unfortunately, the multitude of streaming services needed to match the content of cable/satellite is just as expensive, so the end user hasn't really ended up any better off.

Blues game tonight also supposed to air on TSN2 and NHL Power Play on ESPN+

I'm not familiar with either on those stations.

Power play I think is a show on ESPN, not a games broadcaster.

I’m counting on ESPN plus to have the game. It does show us an option on my iPhone app for ESPN.
I was wondering what the lineup was tonight I saw a picture of Parayko I thought on skates so I don’t know if it’s too early for him to come back.
