Wild and Flames play tonight....
..but the biggest game is our Saint Louis Blues.
They have had to grind out the last two wins but by God they did.
Habs are just as desperate.......what a huge game this is.
Take care of business boys!

Re: Wild and Flames play tonight....
This is a scary week for me. We have been having difficulty with Montreal the last couple of years. They beat us 5-2 back in October. I know we are better than them, but they have our number, like Utah. Thursday we have a very angry Predator team at their place. I'm sure they have that game circled. Saturday, we have Colorado. I would be pleased with going 2-1 this week. Winning tonight coupled with a Wild loss against the Knights would put us within two points of the 1st wildcard.

To be clear,
-Vegas plays Minnesota
-Seattle is up against the Flames.
Fortunately they're not playing each other. lol. A Blues and Knights win would put STL just 2 points behind the Wild for the 1st WC.
After what happened last night, I have no faith in the opposition to keep these pesky heel biters at bay.
As they say, Just win, babay!

it's starting to look like the Wild are in a couple teams crosshairs. They have injury concerns (not like the blues don't either) and have now 3 teams within striking distance of them if the wrong things shake out for them tonight. I could see that spot coming into play and this turning into a 4 team race for 2 spots. Blues have a tough one tonight, the most stakes for 2 teams on the line in the NHL. The Blues have to come out of today and their preds game with a minimum of 2 points. It's hard to beat a team 4 times in 1 season, let alone 3 times in 8 days. Tonight might be the tougher game, but better chance to have the juices going and get the points.blackinkbiz wrote: ↑25 Mar 2025 08:15 amTo be clear,

It would be a beautiful thing to see Minnesota not make the playoffs.

Gustavsson is trying single handedly to keep the Wild in the playoffs. Those guys are running on fumes. If they can’t keep a team to a goal or less, it’s hard for them to win currently.

I'm still hand-wringing over the Nucks. Boy, have they been a thorn. It might just be possible to catch the Wild but this does appear to be a tough stretch for the Blues this week.

yea the blues are getting by doing what they are supposed to do, and it's nice to see their back ups and young plug ins contribute and beat the bad teams. But this is where missing Parayko and Buchy (Buchy says he is feeling better) is going to test them. We have an east equivalent to us tonight, and then we have some matchups with playoff teams. So our softest strength of schedule went from 32 2 weeks ago, to 14th hardest left. We got real competition to close it out. But that's how it should be, iron sharpens iron, and if the Blues want a shot at playing in the playoffs, you gotta beat playoff teams. And it will be beneficial for them if they do so happen to get there, as they will be battle tested.

The last two games have been different than the 8 or so in front of that...they scratched out both wins imo....I agree CP and now Buch being out is showing it's head.
This game is so huge and it's going to be very interesting to see how far they can reach down to win it.
