Would love to see Koperniak go 6-6 and then asked to be traded!

After 3 years of managing ? If Schildt were here you would be calling him schildthead.

Oli announced that Nootbaar would be the "primary" table setter for the Cardinals. So for all of you worrying about stupid spring training lineups and where Winn would bat can all come down and come off the balcony.

No I wouldn't, I liked Schildt. I wish he were still here. He's head and shoulders above Oli.
Fyi, Oli's lineups as a rule suck balls. Big hairy balls.

Losing lineup sequence. Nootbaar is the New Face based on this lineup. He hits into more hard outs than anyone else. Logically, bat him first

Does that not further beg the question as why Oli wouldn't have spent ST getting guys in their probable opening day order so they can get somewhat acclimated? To me that alone is almost as stupid as Winn hitting leadoff.

So an unproven player, a solid MLBer, solid MLBer, future HOFer in twilight of career, one year wonder, unproven player, unproven player, rookie, and 2nd year player...not the best line-up I've seen, and our starting pitching is vet garbage.

Good news: Winn not in leadoff spot.
Bad news: Contreras batting 2nd

Also, it would appear that yes it is a possible lineup for Opening Day.

Ian Bedell is not very good, so naturally he will flumox the Cardinals all night.

If he were, he should be calling him Schildthead.

I would like Contreras there with an overall better lineup. TLR also liked some thunder in the 2 hole. The trouble is, there is no apparent thunder in the MOTO spots.

I don't mind it. Would be better with Gorman at DH, but it's not like he really earned the job this spring. Might have been resolved if we were able to trade Arenado, but it is what it is. Could also swap Contreras and Donovan, but I'm not super concerned with that.

Good move to place Winn in the 9 spot for now. Hopefully his hitting struggles in ST doesn't carry over into the early season. The backup SS is Donovan.
