Long term no he sure didn’t. Been a traveling suitcase for years now getting scraps for minutes. He’s always been a liability defensively and now that he can’t score like he once did, he’s a liability.DoneLurking wrote: ↑24 Mar 2025 14:02 pm818 games and counting. 300+ goals

As other poster mentioned, pass to Schenn was spectacular.TAFKAP wrote: ↑23 Mar 2025 17:11 pm My favorite was the tying goal in Game 2. Him blowing past Marchand and netting his own rebound on the backhand.

At least with Blues, he seemed to genuinely love the game.

Can you imagine haters having such an unhealthy dislike for someone who they've never met and who has done significantly more with their life than the haters could ever dream of, that the numbers you provided get dismissed. Some serious mental illness there for sure.DoneLurking wrote: ↑24 Mar 2025 14:02 pm818 games and counting. 300+ goals

The fact he’s been a liability for years and traveling suitcase at 30 seems to make you call people names and talk about mental health. That’s weird. He sucks at hockey now. You’ll be ok.SRV1990 wrote: ↑24 Mar 2025 15:04 pmCan you imagine haters having such an unhealthy dislike for someone who they've never met and who has done significantly more with their life than the haters could ever dream of, that the numbers you provided get dismissed. Vlad will always be golden just for what he did to brighten up Ari's days during her fight with cancer.

Re: Tarasenko last night on SNH
One thing I'm confused about, Vlad had his best season in 21-22, posting 30+ goals and cresting 80 points for the first and only time in his career.
Did he have any further shoulder surgeries, scopes, cleanups, etc after that season? I thought it was all before that season.

Re: Tarasenko last night on SNH
Tarasenko is a horrible player…not a loser. You should cry to the mods more. That’s what winners do.
Re: Tarasenko last night on SNH
Tarasenko WAS a hell of a player and I am sure is still a great guy.
Just because people point out that his game has fallen quite a bit and he is being passed around the league like a village bicycle doesn't mean they hate him.
It's OK to respect how good a guy was and also recognize his shortcomings.

So basically just like every player in history whose game declines as they get older. Is that a shortcoming or just the natural progression of athletes as they age? Or maybe both?Hooking wrote: ↑25 Mar 2025 20:21 pm Tarasenko WAS a hell of a player and I am sure is still a great guy.

There's a certain type of blue collar, gritty, underdog player Blues fans love. If you don't fit that mold they turn on them, no matter how skilled or how many cups they lift.Hooking wrote: ↑25 Mar 2025 20:21 pm Tarasenko WAS a hell of a player and I am sure is still a great guy.

Well, some folks just don't like other folks. So about all I can say is I like Vova and always have. Most because he's been an excellent, super star hockey player. Don't need to list everything positive he's done, most fans already know.
