The stars align

Post by diehardbluesfan1 »

And we make the playoffs.

We end up playing Edmonton (not sure what round) and Holloway and broberg dominate the series. Edmonton fans lose their minds.

Skinner and arvidson combine for a -12 in the series.

The ftp threads would make amazing bathroom reading.

Tell me I’m wrong.

Your not, and it wouldn't just be the Edmonton fans, St. Louis fans would as well as I would predict we would take that series. Here is to hoping!

funny, I was thinking about that Thursday night against Vancouver. It was some sort of national game and both Holloway and Bromberg looked great. When Bromberg scored the OT winner, I could only imagine how Oilers fans felt at that point!

Alternate scenario; We pull Winnipeg in the first round.
Binnington vs Helly round 3
Helly pulls his typical PO disappearing act and we win.
Binny reaches PO God status as the Winnipeg fans implode.

Have to wonder if the Jets are watching the scoreboard too... I'm sure the LAST team they want to face is the Blues.

I don’t think any team wants St Louis right now.

Even if we were to lose the first round it would be an incredibly rough series and one that likely goes 7 games.

If you are a Pacific team you want Minny to finish in WC1 as that gives you the far easier route to the WCC.

Winnipeg would have to beat the WC2, winner of Dallas/Colorado, WCC, SCF

As of today it would be Vegas winning the Pacific so their path would be Minny, winner of Kings/Oilers, WCC, SCF

The Pacific is the far easier path.

Congratulations Winnipeg

If, as now seems likely, da team makes the play-offs, the Jets are in our windshield. A lot of people, fwiw, have already said that if the Blues make the post-season, they will be a very tough 8 seed. The Western Conference is clearly the deepest/best. It'll be wild.

Canucks Petterson and Hoglander out at least 4 games. That might be the end of their playoff push..
