His walk rate is 5.7% and all other indicators suggest he’s not making good contact. I wouldn’t base any conclusions on ST stats… and latching on to one metric to support a theory is generally a mistake.

Or maybe forget that… let’s just say he’s on a path to a breakout season, for no substantive reason. Go Norman!

At this point we have to take Gorman's lower KO rate and Walker getting the ball in the air more this spring as positives.

This could end up being a make or break, sink or swim year for Norman, I think they'll stick at least one more year w/Walker if he struggles again.

Pivotal year for both, I'd take their 2023 stats and see that as them moving back in the right direction.

He fell off a cliff last season. especially after May and a streak in July.

This ST, his Babip is bad, unfortunately may be due to infield pop ups.

He has changed from the very few PA's I've seen.
Shoulder in and slightly lower. Less first pitch strikes, less swinging strikes,
Higher contact percentage.

Will the process take hold and work.
Will he buy into the process? Maybe, he fell into such a deep hole
and looked so badly lost, that I'd think he'd commit.

Results matter though.
If all it does is shift how he makes outs and he's doesn't drive the ball he'll
look for something else.
