With their first round loss in the Big 10 tourney, Snuggerud and Minnesota got demoted to a #2 seed but they have a pretty good path to get to the Frozen Four in STL. They’re now ranked 5th in the nation and they just need to get past UMass and then kindly 4th overall Western Michigan.

If they win Thursday night, they’ll play the winner of W.Mich/Minn St on Saturday. Any loss and his season is over and he can sign with the Blues immediately.

Cornell winning the ECAC out of the 6 seed very likely cost Michigan the last at large bid. That’s a shame.
