Minnesota

Post by dhsux »

As we dream of the Blues surge.....not counting Minnesota out to falter, although they have bounced back from a rough patch.

Their schedule:

Dallas
Vegas
Wash
Jersey
Jersey
Rangers
Islanders
Dallas
SJ
Calgary
Van
Ducks

I’d rather the Blues play the Jets in the first round then the Knights

My thought here was to have them fall out all together and open a spot and miss the play offs.

I too like the Blues in the 8 spot.

If we get in, we’re playing with “house money”. It really doesn’t matter who we face. Wpg then Colo/Dal winner, or LV then most likely Edm

Yeah, it doesnt really matter who we face.

But, Binny v Helly pt 3 makes the best story. And, they just scare me the least. LVK and COL always seem to do well against us. While I'd love to face Petro, I'd rather see someone else knock them out first.

A lot of us who predicted play offs for this team will be picking and believing them to win the first series no matter who they play.

But I agree with you on Minnesota although a Colorado series would remain fresh as a pay back.

I'm ahead of myself ....for now I'd love to see Minny fall and provide an extra spot open in the WC slot.

It's tough, it always is. But the Stanley Cup Champions should be able to beat everyone. But I also agree that the match ups can cause difficulties.

Just like '19. If it did end up like that, San Jose won't be next

Winnipeg is getting upset in the first round whoevzr they play. Just like clockwork they have again played Helleybuck into the ground. Look at his last three outings -- including an ugly shellacking from the Canucks.
Coupled with the extra Canada pressure of being a one seed. Going down - book it as it were.

Thanks for pointing that out, I don't know how I missed Vegas overtaking Edmonton. I wanted the 1WC so we could start against the Oilers just to end their season as an extra [fork] you to their fans saying it didn't matter that they lost the RFA twins because they were going to win the Cup and we weren't going to make the playoffs. I'd like that more than beating Winnipeg.
