I'm waiting for the final roster. If Noot is in CF, this D is going to be a problem with Walker in RF and Donovan in LF. Yikes. And Gorman at 2B and a totally new position for Contreras at 1B. And Herrera behind the plate a lot. Lots of -DRS potential there.

I just can't get optimistic about Burleson, Gorman, Walker, Scott, Siani, Liberatore. Winn's bat is also concerning. Bad defense at a few positions. Poor lineup construction. Poor fundamentals.

Terrible offseason and stuck in mud...however, this bullpen is going to be good. helsley romero maton fernandez king roycroft leahy matz...and the rotation is looking like they may produce over their heads if sonny gray isn't hurt. I actually could see the pitching making us competitive. The offense though...winn has to be healthy. Scott has to take spring into the summer. Arenado has to care. Walker, I don't see it with this spring but he has to become a good player. I see a lot of last year and a record around .500 with long winning and losing streaks and a lot of frustration...potentially- best case scenario- 89 win team- i put that at a 4 percent chance...worst case 76 wins. Answer likely somewhere in the middle.

We went 71-91 in 2023 with an arguably more talented roster.

It is always interesting, though! Day 1 all teams have a shot and there are always surprises! Maybe it all clicks? But, I wouldn't predict that.
