Is it just coincidence that they play like Cup contenders when the regular season is mostly over?

Everyone knows what I think.

Good thing about me is that at least I takes a stand. I don't run from the facts.
They have a winning record each month you provided. Every year except one they were either in the playoffs or had a shot to get there. I’d think one would want your best hockey down the stretch.
You also never considered what their schedules were each of those years, and if those teams were playoff bound or phoning it in.
Your data is half-hearted at best

I would consider having more than one ID on an anonymous newspaper forum a type of
"running" away from facts.

Turn off your police lights. Silence the alarms. Hang up the handcuffs. Put away your gun. And do not call your Mom looking for acknowledgement.

Just like you claimed in an earlier thread never to have participated in the now defunct Current Affairs forum?

You must think everyone here has a bad memory or dementia.

Where did I say that I did not participate in CA? Show me. I never said that.

I did participate on CA, but I quit it long ago and long before it went under I guess.

I don't think everyone has a bad memory, but you sure do.

The Blues were in the 8th spot in the lottery after losing to Winnipeg coming out of the 4 nations tourney and standing on 56 points. There were 4 other teams with 57 points that day.

If you are going to tank you have to sell out and do it. Drafting 8-12 is a failure if you are tanking.

The Blues told us long ago they weren’t tanking. They re-enforced that with the offer sheets. And again with the trade for Fowler. And one more time at the deadline.

In short the Blues aren’t squandering anything, they are just doing what they have always said (and shown) they were going to do.

I wish the other team in town would be as committed to their word.

Sensible posts mean nothing to the DA haters.

The drafting guru's can't even properly evaluate current NHL talent right in front of them nevertheless picking from 18-19 year olds as if that's the end of the world.

No kidding. Let's develop a team that knows how to lose when it really counts.
In a few weeks, my favorite time of year comes along...Blues in playoffs, Masters Golf, Cardinals season starting with anticipation of our traditional great baseball, and warm Spring weather. Oh well, it will still be my favorite season this year, despite Mo and Ollie.
Blues bounce back a couple of times last night is great sign; need for cleanup at critical junctures in games hopefully gets everyone focused!

At some point. You have to back your team.

I think that happens, when the deadline passes. Then it's time to get behind the team. I understand that may be impossible here. But the team is set and the season is on. Nothing you say will change that.

As for your opinion. I see the same thing. It seems, Once trade talk starts. These players start. However, with a league that all teams are pretty close in talent. It's still not to late to wait until January to start playing. I'd call it a Vet move.
That said. You are probably right. But the odds are with you.

Your supposed team is winning and playing great hockey and you take a stand? Why is a draft pick more important than winning. I dont get it. When is enough, enough? Isnt the point to win games? We have been drafting high for the last several years.

We have the following 1st and 2nd rounders in our system:
Dvorsky, Snuggerud, Ralph, Fischer, Jiricek, Stenberg, Lindstein, Alexandrov--and Graduates: Bolduc, Neighbours, (Holloway, Broberg) Thomas and Kyrou.

Why do we need more prospects at this time? I didnt even mention all the other picks.

Some folks are miserable in life. Thats the only explanation.

I am thoroughly enjoying the Blues--This is awesome. This is the point of it all. Enjoy the ride. Enjoy the great hockey! Good things happening!

Have you compared the quality of our prospects with the prospects on other teams? The only way to win is to have better players than everyone else.
I suggest that you do that.

The experts claim that we are middle of the pack.

Anyone that thinks that the Blues "have enough" quality prospects, please read. Remember that the goal is to have the best players in the NHL.
