Holloway Joins All-Time Blues Record Book

Post by TBone »

Andy Strickland
@andystrickland

Dylan Holloway became the most recent Blue to reach 50 points in a season before turning 24 years old. Here’s entire list of players to do so since 1999-2000. #stlblues

That's some fine company.

I believe we are all going to have fun in the coming years arguing which of Bro and Holloway are the better value of that train robbery.

Me neither!

Pretty good company either way. Wonder what this kid's ceiling is...he's on pace for 25 goals/60pts this year, and he's going to keep getting better.

+1 That's what I thought too. That's some pretty good company.

Do we have one of those beautiful offensive combos like Hull and Oates with Kyrou and Holloway blossoming?

What's more, he was second in Selke voting that year (1999-2000).

Not bad for a fourth-round pick.

Dude don't you know. The Blues MASSIVELY overpaid for Broberg and Holloway. The whole leagues talking about it. It's facts. The Oilers were happy to get them off the books. Hockey people know. It's not your fault you don't.

I can't believe the fleecing we got for these guys. Could you imagine the haul you would bring if you traded them this offseason? I hope we can get an extension done with them both in the 7s. I think it's a hard sell to the locker room to dish out something huge to Holloway that's different than what Neighbours got, unless he signed an 7-8 year contract and you can lock him in. Same kind of goes for Broberg, where you would have to sign them to a really long contract to legitimize paying more than you are paying Parayko, who will undoubtedly be better for at least the next 2 years of the contract.

I always bring up Pavel Datsyuk's draft position when people act like that.

Now lets do a list of top 5 picks who've never panned out...

Start with Alexander Daigle
