It's an absolute insult to keep Mozeliak around, and they are going to feel it very badly in their bottom line. And they 100% deserve it.60 year Cardinal fan wrote: ↑18 Mar 2025 16:59 pmUnfortunately, you are probably correct. I still check in to see what is going on, but Mo, Oli and the ownership have sure taken the wind out of my sails. I just can’t get excited like I have for the past years. Maybe with a new front office and field manager my spirits will be rejuvenated.OldRed wrote: ↑18 Mar 2025 16:33 pmCranny wrote: ↑18 Mar 2025 16:22 pm Although it seemed quiet, the Cardinals were actually fairly active, signing 31 players.

Since most of them are slotted into the minors, Bloom probably had his hand in much of it. Don't know how many will be any good, but the activity seemed to be there.
Rah. Rah, Cranny we will dead when this is a good team again.

No, you lead with suggesting that the Cardinals "were actually fairly active" in an offseason in which they did nearly nothing.Cranny wrote: ↑18 Mar 2025 17:04 pmNot trying to make any point. He's a light hitting catcher who has never seen a pitch he didn't want to swing at... there's a reason he's spent 4 seasons in AAA.There are some interesting ones.
For instance Yohel Pozo has had an OPS at AAA of .861 in 2023 and .873
in 2024. AAA batting average since he has attained that level has been .321. Slugging has been .542.
Wow, that's exciting.Barrero has a real chance of major league playing time this season.
He's a filler.Maton could be a help.

Re: Busy Offseason
Of course Maton is filler. He’s a reliever on a 1 year $2MM deal. He’s a bridge and no part of their future. They’re just buying time for farm system relievers who aren’t ready. Marmol literally said this.Cranny wrote: ↑18 Mar 2025 17:24 pmMaton is a filler? LOL. Why do you think a reliever signed with 3 weeks until opening day for low dollars is anything but filler?Cranny wrote: ↑18 Mar 2025 18:38 pmTo some, it's just a spoiled little critter. An Old Friend wrote: ↑18 Mar 2025 18:33 pmOf course Maton is filler.
