Somewhere amidst the seeming thousands of hagiographies lauding His Lorne-ness, perhaps the most cogent observation was the pundit who opined, "Even on its absolutely worst nights, SNL will do one thing that's fantastic. Even on its very best shows it will do something beyond godawful."

I guess this explains why, when asked what is the most frequent critical review of SNL, Michaels replied, "Uneven".

Unusually, I watched the whole show, mainly because I really enjoy Lady Gaga. The current state of politics must have the cast and writers on Cloud 9.

Yep. The James Austin Johnson trump imitation is spot on but it's also getting as boring as Baldwins was. I understand why they do it but I'm already tired of the same cold opening each week.

However, Mike Myers doing an over the top cartoonish imitation of Elon while throwing in some Austin Powers references is funny. And that guy has the sensitivity level of a jilted girl at the Jr. prom so it's just a matter of time before he starts stupidly tweeting about it (at least when they fix twitter today). I hope they keep pounding him relentlessly.
