Happy birthday to former Cardinals closer Ryan Franklin! When the Cardinals signed Franklin in 2007, they were seeking depth for a depleted starting rotation. Instead, Franklin went on to save 84 games in five seasons with St. Louis.

I don't think we was ever able to fully recover after that severe ankle injury.
