I signed up for Hulu for a specific production and have kept it going, and I’m surprised by the number of quality shows there.
Paradise is a new one starring St. Louis‘s own Sterling Kay Brown. He plays a Secret Service agent who protects a ex president of the United States. There’s a futuristic element. I’ve only seen episode one, but it’s pretty interesting.

This is an excellent show. I’m not much of a TV guy outside of the classics, but it’s interesting to get in on the ground floor of a show and not be able to binge it.

Thanks sounds good, I will check it out. HULU is worth it IMO. They get all the FX shows (The Bear, Always Sunny) plus have cool shows like Alone and old shows like Sons of Anarchy and Justified. An underrated gem was Better Things, highly recommend.

While this is a decent TV production, I lost some interest in episodes 2 -4 ish. Still it is worth checking out.
Then, last week’s episode was absolutely gripping. “the Day” portrayed what these writers think happens in the White House in a time of worldwide disaster. Fascinating! So then I checked Internet movie database because I wanted to see if everyone else thought it was as good as I found it, and it has a rating of 9.6. That is high!

Agree with a lot of this. Watched last week's episode last night and, holy smokes, one of the better episodes of television I've seen in a long time. Paradise strays beyond my usual tolerance of fantasy/science fiction, but it's been an excellent show overall.GelatinousEndive wrote: ↑03 Mar 2025 11:29 am While this is a decent TV production, I lost some interest in episodes 2 -4 ish.
