Let's call it our first round placement push. Yeah, I'm in the tank camp now, 'cause we're in it already. The chops are not there, those odds aren't lying. Go for the gusto.
Jack is saying you and me and MN and others are dumb as hell though and we're not real fans.
(There have always been people like this on these boards.)
There have always been people who root for losses for the glory of a top 5 draft pick every single year. What's your point?
15 years ago I remember what interacting with you was like then.
Quality posters have to wade through people like you.

Let me get this if I have it right.

You suck up to THE biggest narcissistic troll on this board then tell Jack you have to "wade through people like" (him)

You lost me.

And his comment to you is valid.

There's my own assessment.
Losing me is perfectly ok, I wasn't trying to gain anyone

I knew it would enrage people if I spoke without malice to someone people hate.
We had a normal conversation and it upset people, I get that. But I just wanted to have a normal conversation.
I haven't been here for 15 years but when I was here last Jack and I had conflict. I didn't go looking for it with him but you'll notice he immediately found a way to do it. But, I have no agenda as far as how talking without hate to someone you hate affects you, I don't know you. If you want to treat me worse because of this, no worries. That would be all your choice and it would be about you.

All of that attention that is spent battling has always gone on, literally has always gone on every year of this board.
My plan isn't to put attention there, it's to put my attention mostly on prospects. I will 100% leave before being dragged in.
This is the backup board. Everyone knows the nickname of this place.

You can do what you want but take the consequences. To even compare an issue with Jack or most anyone on this board to the banned guy is absurd.

Your convo on Vladdy was really a cute one for him....after he spent 5 years trashing him, mocking him, lying about him all to the most ridiculous level of obsession imaginable. I mean sick like.

Another 5 with Elliott

This a guy who can't hold a candle in life to an Opossum.

He routinely has 2-3 Blues he's constantly ragging about and beats them down way beyond any "normal" point of criticism. In fact, their is nothing "normal" about him being here. He has major issues plus he's been banned.

Can't stand talking about him but for sake of making my point to you.

I complimented you on your prospect knowledge little question your hockey knowledge is beyond solid.

Your assessment of people not so much...or maybe you just like getting a rise from others on purpose I don't know.

You acknowledge having issues with posters...most (not all) but most us have a few that go that way......but the one you and he on Senko was just

Banned guy trashed Tarasenko here for 5 years.... endlessly, obsessively to a point of illness.

Let me put it another way, the fighting and bickering is way bigger than me. That can take care of itself just fine. I am pessimistic for the reasons you stated, I deserve 'consequences' and I can't control what consequences I am now deemed to deserve. My non control of that therefore was a non factor when in the moment I decided to have an organic conversation. He and I agree on some things but not others. That's kind of true between everybody, we all bring our different prisms and perspectives to the same thing, so when we disagree on the perception of them we'll go to war over it. Could that conversation have been made wretched by either one of us? Sure. But we didn't and it was a choice.

In the end I see it as a matter of time and attention. Attention is finite. In the not too distant future we will all be at each other's real throats even more, there's plenty of time to destroy ourselves later, so in the meantime why don't we just agree there's like 100 of us here and put as much attention on talking about the thing we mutually do care about which is the Blues. We all have plenty of disagreement about how they should go about things, are going about things and have gone about things to keep us busy without also needing to spend time getting to the bottom of it only to discover human beings are magnificently corrupt. They are.

When you look at it the Blues have actually played their last 6 games very well including 4 top teams.

They played up to each team dead even at worst.

The number of informed, intelligent, and decent people who post here, who are too busy looking at "potentialities" that might lie years in the future ...it staggers me that they don't seem able to find the time to celebrate the big and little wins that happen every single day on a hockey team.

The NHL is a business.
Ice Hockey is the most beautiful and complete team sport in the known universe.

Statistics and forecasts are not, truly, tangible.

Drop the Puck and let's see what unfolds today.

100% well said just enjoy the ride. It is frustrating to me that the team waits till now to check as a a team and play for each other but we don't know who was banged up Rivers mentioned Buch getting treatment was Brobie still nursing his injury during the break, Leddy is coming back into form. Whatever the cause or reason the team is play winning hockey the prospects will come when they are ready and the franchise will be better for it then but for now these players earned their ice time

My opinion, they are starting to play with confidence, they aren't thinking and hesitating. Look at Buch last night, I think that guy is worth 8 mil.

I was definitely one wanting to tank before the 4 nations. And thats ok. Until now the blues gave no impression they could put together 3 straight wins. But now that we are knocking at the door and the fact that there play does not look flukey. We are not just getting thf lucky bounce. We are creating our destiny. Its okay to play in extremes. My extremes were top 5 pick or playoffs. Not top 5 or cup. Playoff experience is whats most important this year and for the beginning of next season. I will be more than happy to eat crow if the boys can get a series or 2 in the playoffs. Playoffs benefits the entire organization. Not just the big club. Keep it up and snuggerud wont be so heart broken if he doesnt get his championship with minny

Ps- my version of tanking wasnt trading kyrou thomas parayko. Just schenn or buch to get us closer to the bottom.

The internet doesn't create miserable people, it just reveals them. These idiots that want to tank for a top-5 every year will never be happy--NEVER. Personally, now that I've seen both my favorite teams (and the Rams when they were here) win a championship, I'm just as happy with a Finals loss as I am with another championship for the time being. Because once the season's over, win or lose, it's done, and everyone goes back to the start line.

If you honestly feel some lasting happiness that your life is more fulfilled, well, time to reassess.

And on a more real note, let's say the Blues had tanked and went into a full rebuild last year and this year, what are the chances the offsetting picks would yield a better net gain than Broberg and Holloway? Because I doubt the FO would be trying to land offer sheets if a full rebuild is on.
