Sunday's Oscarcast Viewers Guide

Post by Pink Freud »

I know, I know...nobody's gonna watch, but 10 million people the next day will have opinions on the telecast. https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-a ... ive-stream

My question: What the heck is Jesse Palmer, who'll host the red carpet with Julianne Hough (how you doin'?), doing as a network TV and national commercials star? All because he started three games as a New York Giants QB??? He's a national version of Tim Van Galder, who started 7 games in the NFL (1 TD, 7 INTs) only because Jim Hart and Gary Cuozzo were injured, and coasted the rest of his life in St. Louis as "former Big Red QB".

If you wanna be in showbiz, folks, be a jock --- you don't even have to be a star --- and play for a NY team, right in front of all those worshipful network and corporate execs on the stadium's/arena's club level.

Correction (as usual, too late to edit a post): TVG started five games, not seven, going 1-3-1. The Big Red were so awful that season that their #1 QB, Gary Cuozzo, brought in by head coach Bob Hollway from the Vikings, completed only 43% of his passes; Jim Hart barely 50%. No wonder Don Coryell got the job the next season just by writing Bill Bidwill a letter.

The Big Red in 1972: For god......for country......4-9-1.

He's been in broadcasting for 20 years, doing sports, reality TV, GMA and several show on Food Network. He's a pretty boy, at ease on camera.
