I really do not see the Blues being buyers for 2 reasons.

I doubt an acquisition or two puts this team into a serious threat position, so why waste assets (1) in a trade for a potential playoff run that may be short, if at all (2)?

The Blues will stick towards building and developing a team this year IMO and will ride with the current team. Then again I could be completely misguided.

The current team could play well enough to go deep, they are playing well! With the current assets. Making a change now could change the outcome. Why change?
