With his company collapsing at the end of last year, maybe he will start thinking of his own future instead of bankrolling Miami.

kid and his family are playing this negotiation out well. This will be life changing money for him and his family. IMO which means diddly IF MU can come up with a competitive offer they are the right choice. He would get solid training and playing in SEC he would get to show out against the best DL's in country week after week. Plus his friends, family and fans could make the short trek to Columbia to see him play. Drink is a great coach to play for and has really upgraded the recruiting at MU.

Now we shall see how it goes. But the other teams in his final group are known for throwing huge dollars at the top kids. As always we shall see how it goes.

BTW MU has recruited some excellent OL kids and methinks having Membou show out so well for NFL and is considered a top first rounder can't hurt. they need to win some more of these battles in order to compete with the Big Brands.

The hand gestures weren't all the same. Cantwell was noticably different.

And I have been busy looking for the C in your Shrader thread and investigating how someone in this universe could be so oblivious to it.

I have zero personal knowledge of the situation, but I doubt the the NIL deal will be the biggest factor. I think he'll go with the coach he's most comfortable with, where he thinks he'll win, and where he can pursue his shot putting. His Michigan buddy Underwood has an NIL deal reportedly worth $10-12 million over 4 years. Barring injury, Cantwell will play 3 years in college, go in the top 5 of NFL picks and then sign a 4 year deal worth $38-40 million. NIL money will look like chump change.

Just reading up on his track and field escalades and sounds like he may be olympic material. Any thoughts on how that would play out if he wants to do both. I assume it will not be an issue since it is a summer game that takes place in July.
